So my husband is watching a movie and I asked who that was on the screen. He responded "its Zo Saldana." I laughed at him and said that's not how you pronounce her name. He insists that Zoe = "Zo" and it's only "Zo-ee" if there's a Y (Zoey.) There is NO way he is correct about this... right?? Zoe and Zoey are just spelling variations of the same pronunciation, I thought.

The only time I've ever heard "Zoe" pronounced zo was in Rachel Zoe's name.

@sunny: oh gosh you're right, I totally forgot about her. Well I just looked her up and apparently it's a stage name. Her last name is really Rosenzweig and Zoe was her middle name. Hmmmm!

My Goddaughter is called Zoe and I call her Zo....as a nickname. Because it's pronounced Zo-ee.

Apparently Zoe is pronounced like Zoey, which I never knew till a new girl at work started. I keep wanting to add the y to when I email her.

I've always pronounced them the same as Zoey, If I heard someone pronounce it as Zo I would assume that it was just a nickname for Zoey
