What time was your LO's first birthday party? I'm thinking 10:30-1. LO doesn't always take two naps, and most of the baby attendees will still be on two. This way we can feed everyone lunch and have them home for naps.

Ours was at 11, I wanted a brunch and when I made the party time this made sense to her nap time. But of course by the time the party came she was starting to transition to one nap a day and she was exhausted during her party..... there was no way to know that a month and a half in advance though!

@Weagle: I like that time frame.
I think my nephew's was at noon (12-2 maybe) and the more recent party we were invited to was 2-4 (rescheduled later for 3-5). We couldn't go to the party recently but it would have conflicted completely with LO's schedule (she would have been the youngest baby that we at least knew about so it would probably only have affected us).
Edit: We're thinking 11-1 for LO's birthday but we'll obviously decide that when it gets a bit closer.

We did 1:30-3:30 because she was still on a two nap schedule and I didn't want to have to feed people lunch! lol!

I voted for later, because I figured he will make a mess of himself with the cake, so then we will do bath time and start bed time early..

We chose 11 - 3 for LO's first birthday party. He took a nap before the party and woke up just as guests started to arrive. He also took his second nap towards the end of the party when about half the guests had left.

2-4. P's afternoon nap at the earliest is 3 so keeping her up a little later is no biggie... Also this way we can do a heavy snack instead of full meal.

Now that I'm thinking about it, 3-5 would be easier in that we don't have to feed people, and we won't really be working around people's nap schedules. And she can crash at bedtime instead of nap time

We had ours at 4pm. He was still on 2 naps and I didn't want the commotion to affect his afternoon nap. We've never had issues with him going down at bedtime so we weren't worried about putting him to bed while people were still here.

Ours will be at 4pm for the same reasons @Sammyfab mentioned. We're having a small family party with dinner, so it shouldn't mess up his schedule at all and he can have lots of fun with visitors.

1pm. She's usually done with her morning nap by 11:30am then since it's home she can take her afternoon nap whenever.

We're doing a Sunday brunch party so probably 1030or 11am - 130or 2pm. At 10 months DS just transitioned to 2 naps so I doubt he'll be on 1 by then...fingers crossed!

Ours was late...6pm to accommodate relatives who had to work.

We are doing ours from 4-6 p.m. because that's what worked for our venue. LO doesn't nap during that time, she takes 1-2 naps a day, usually one long one on the weekends, so she'll be nice and refreshed for her party.

We did 4pm as well. LO napped from 2-4 at that time so that seemed like the best time. We got invited to lots of them over the summer with all different times and definitely showed up to some late so we messed up naps as little as possible.

We are doing 3pm. I'll have LO take his second nap a little early, and then we'll just do finger foods to make it easy.

@prettylizy: We're doing the same! I don't want to feed people lunch, and DD take two naps still. I know it's not the most convenient time for those with older toddlers who nap mid-afternoon, but I told people to just come for whatever part of the party works best for them.
