My baby is turning 1 in March (oh my gosh) and I'm starting to think and plan her birthday party. It's going to be just family but I still want to go all out. Right now I'm planning on a flamingo theme, but want to ask what's out there. What was your baby's birthday theme?

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I sing it to her every night so I went with it. Plus I could make it pink before she had an opinion on her theme/color.

DD1 (April) was a springy yellow & lavender. DD2 was (August) whale themed.

@Smurfette: @FaithFertility: we did that theme too only it was for our boy! I did primary colored star decorations and star shaped foods.

LO1 had a whale/baby beluga themed first birthday. The colors were aqua, purple, and pink.
We have a ways to go to LO2's first birthday (October) but I'm thinking a pumpkin theme with gold, orange, and pink.

I went to a 1st b-day party this weekend that was Under The Sea themed! Super cute!

Baby boy isn't even here and I'm already dreaming up birthday themes! If he arrives a little early (due May 18) I'm thinking a Star Wars (May tye fourth!) or Cinco de Mayo Fiesta. Others ideas I'm throwing around are Finding Nemo ( we call him Nemo in utero) or Hot Air Balloon (his nursery theme.

LO's name is Liliana Rae, so we're doing something with sunshine. She's our Lil Rae of sunshine! Probably sunshine and pinwheels, along these lines. I have a very extensive Pinterest board dedicated to this, and have already made some purchases, even though she's only 6mo!

"Sunshine Daydream" homage to the Grateful Dead songs DH always sang to him as a lullaby, and to his June birthday. Yellow everything!

@LuLu Mom: DS isn't even 2 months yet but as of now we are planning on a Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory theme. I wanted that for his nursery but it was too complicated haha. My second choice is a "The Little Prince" (the book) theme.
