How does this work? With LO in daycare, DH and occasionally have to switch off pickups and dropoffs. I was originally thinking we'd be just getting another base but a base is as expensive as a convertible and LO is 13.5 lbs so I'm not opposed to moving him to a convertible (rear facing of course!) since most have a minimum weight of 5 lbs or so.

My hesitance is that DH has a 2 door car and I think it'd be really tricky to get LO in and out. Eventually we'll have to figure this out since LO won't be in the infant seat forever.

Anyone have any experience with this?
