I have to have the 3 hour glucose tolerance test tomorrow. I'm going right to the 3 hour one because my Dad has diabetes. I have to fast 12 hours before my test starts. Can I have water? I forgot to ask the midwife and I'm SO thirsty!! My test is around 8am tomorrow morning.

@Mrs. Champagne: You can definitely drink water! Don't drink any juice or even slightly sweetened drinks though.

Yeah, you can drink water, for sure. Pretty sure I remember not being able to drink any *during* the 3 hour period, though. I also ate a gigantic brunch, afterwards. Nothing like some pregnant starvation pancakes.

I was told to keep hydrated both before and during, so I just drank as much as usual.

just finished. once i drank the stuff they said I couldn't have any more water, but I drank right up until the orange crap.
so glad that's over with!
