How far along: 16 weeks and 4 days
How are things going: Everything is going okay but I'm definitely scared because LO #1 was born at 34 weeks and I'm scared I will not make it to full term again. But I'm on progesterone and that is supposed to help...

How am I doing? Ready to meet this little one. Had a relatively easy pregnancy outside of some 1st tri sickness. Obviously pretty uncomfy now but I think that is to be expected!

@littlek - good luck with your pregnancy! Hoping for a smooth ride and a full term little one

Pregnancy #: 1
How far along: 31 weeks 3 days
How are things going: So far so good. A little stressed due to non pregnancy issues: new job with far greater responsibility and possible new house in the next month (walking through a second time tonight to make final decision on if we want to make an offer, eek!!). Pregnancy wise I have been really lucky and had a great pregnancy so far.

I look forward to joining here as well! I just turned 37 at the beginning of this month and we are now on cycle 7 of TTC. I hope this is lucky 7. Great to see happy healthy pregnancies over 35

How are you doing: Pretty well! I've been fairly tired up until now, but have started adding exercise back into my weekly schedule, and it's really made a difference. My OB has joked that my pregnancy so far has been pretty "boring", but that's it's a really, really good thing! Here's to "boring" pregnancies for all!

How are you doing: I'm doing okay. Nausea is mostly gone (except early morning). I'm feeling a lot of movement in the past couple of days. And I'm not as exhausted. The downside is I really struggle to get back to sleep when I wake to use the restroom at night.

Curious.. Are you ladies planning to have (or have you already had) genetic testing? My doc asked us because I'm 35, but I really don't see the point. We would not terminate, regardless.

How far along: Only 9 weeks!
How are you doing: Good. Feeling a little more crummy than my last pregnancy, but overall okay.
@CatchAFallingStar: I had the Counsyl test done, more out of curiosity. The test only makes any sense if the partner is tested as well.
apricot / 435 posts
@CatchAFallingStar: We ended up taking the Harmony test... We weren't really interested in termination either, but since the conditions that the test detected come with health issues of varying seriousness, we figured that more knowledge would help us to prepare in advance.

How are you doing: feeling a little more like myself again now that the nausea has improved but I definitely have more aches and pains this pregnancy. I also just feel heavier and larger earlier than I did in my first pregnancy. This pregnancy is also going way faster...it's flying by!
@CatchAFallingStar: we did the NT scan and basic testing that comes with that bc I would rather be prepared ahead of time if there was any health issue. Not only to prepare myself emotionally but to also be able to do any research into care/resources that would be needed for the baby.
apricot / 453 posts
@catchafallingstar: We did the Cell-Free DNA test and NT test at around 12 weeks and the sequential screen in my second trimester. We wouldn't have terminated the pregnancy either way but we wanted to know what to expect. Thankfully, everything looks good.
cherry / 186 posts
@CatchAFallingStar: we had an nt scan at 12 weeks but decided to decline the maternity21 test. We would not have terminated so I did not see the point.

How are you doing: overall, well! first tri was hard with a toddler, felt amazing in the 2nd tri (a true honeymoon trimester for me!), and the 3rd is somewhere in the middle. the toddler is getting faster and i am getting slower! c/s is scheduled one month from today....ah!!!
@CatchAFallingStar: we just did the basic NT scan, same as I did with my 1st preg at 35.
@sandy: isn't it insane how much faster the 2nd one is going?! how old is your LO? Mine is 23 months, will turn 2 5 days before LO2 comes (hopefully he/she waits that long).

@littlek: Congrats! Sending strong, growing thoughts your way for a full term baby #2!
@mkp17: Any day now! Congrats!
@beckysue: New job, new house, new baby! The trifecta of happiness Good luck at your second walkthrough.
@Ms.Pumpkin: Yay for boring pregnancies!
@CatchAFallingStar: We did the Counsyl test when some abnormality flags were raised at one of our many ultrasounds.
@Espion: Congrats!

Thread crashing as I'm not currently pregnant yet, either, but I AM a huge cheerleader for all you 35+ers! Starting cycle 7 of TTC with one mc at 6wks a month ago. Can't wait to join the club.

Preganancy #: 2. DD is 2 years old
How far along: only 4 weeks
How are you doing: Good. A couple days with nausea but not bad so far. I had a ton of nausea with DD so I'm just waiting for it to start any day now. I'm a little nervous being a little older, but my first pregnancy went well so I'm not expecting any problems.
Congrats to everyone else!

Hi!
Age: 36
Preganancy #: 1
How far along: 7 wks 3 days
How are you doing: nervous. Just went through my intake clerk visit and did some labs. Looks good thus far. Im nervous about the genetic tests but keep telling myself i will be brave for whatever outcomes. Trying to convince myself this.
But had quite the journey to get here and a team of health providers. Achyness, mild food aversions, weird joint pains (I heard hormones can make your wrist and ankles more sensitive?), little nausea, and tender breasts. Mood swings up the yin yang. Congrats my fellow 35+er's. So happy to be here.

So excited to finally join! I know this thread is a little old, so hope many of you have delivered healthy babies or are close & the rest are further along.
Age: 41
Baby #: 1
How far along: 6w1d
How are you doing: Still cautiously optimistic since we are just now at the point of our previous m/c. I feel a lot "more pregnant", though, so that seems reassuring! So tired & hungry, sore breasts & some nausea, but otherwise pretty good. We just had an u/s yesterday & got to see a flutter of a heartbeat!!
Eta: I changed what had said Pregnancy # to Baby #, as I realized (sadly) those #s don't always correlate. If you add to this thread, perhaps use that "form" instead.

@GoGoSnoGirl: That's awesome you got to see the heartbeat already!
Age: 36 - will probably be 37 at time of delivery
Pregnancy #: 2
How far along: 5w2d
How are you doing: Really tired (going to bed by 9pm, which is super early for me!), nauseous, and a little anxious... had brown spotting and strong cramps for a few days after my bfp, but my betas were normal and haven't had the cramps since. Had a mc at 7.5 weeks with my first pregnancy, so I will probably be nervous until after the first tri at least.

How are you doing: So far so good but I"m super new. Just had my first appt with my doctor today and have to say that being pregnant at 35 is so much more stressful to me that the first time when I was 33. It doesn't help that I'm seeing a brand new doctor since we moved. I was with my old obgyn for 10 years and really miss her. I'm extremely excited for a new baby and yet terrified at the same time as I don't know how to handle a toddler, newborn, and full time job. However, I"m not the first person to be in this position and I have a great husband and family/friends support system so it'll be fine.
grapefruit / 4441 posts
@MUI831: Congratulations! I hear you on the worries about being able to handle everything. In my case, my husband isn't really able to help due to his health issues and I have no family nearby. So you probably have less to worry about than me! I say that joking, and not in any way to minimize how you are feeling... it's probably the case though that you are better equipped than you feel! How old is your toddler?
pomegranate / 3272 posts
@78h2o: Thanks! DS will be 2 next month and the terrible 2's have just started last week in full force! It's like he knew that his only child status is ending soon and he's not going down without a fight.
Hope your pregnancy is going well for you!

Pregnancy #: 1
How far along: 16 weeks, 4 days
How are you doing: Feeling a lot better the last couple of weeks. First trimester was rough. I'm pretty good during the days, but my body definitely feels worn out in the evenings. I hate how much I have to get up to pee during the night, so I'm experimenting with trying to not drink anything after certain times to find out the absolute latest I can drink something at night. So far, it' s 8:00pm.
grapefruit / 4441 posts
@MelisMc: I will have to try not drinking anything after 8pm...I am sick of all the peeing as well! I am only 6w2d and already sick of the first tri...I have been so exhausted and nauseous!
@MUI831: Mine will be 2 in early Dec. She has been in the terrible 2s since about 18 months. She's actually better now than she had been, but she still has some difficult days now and then!
