What did you give/get or planning for the 4th Anniversary?
I like to do plays off traditional /modern themes.
For the 4th traditional is fruits/flowers and modern is appliances.
We do not need any more appliances! 
I was thinking of maybe going to select a fruit tree or bush together and planting on our anniversary.

@locavore_mama: I love this idea! Just make sure to get a self-pollinating type of fruit tree if you just want to plant one.

Love that idea! We did not do/give anything for our 4th anniversary. We were visiting the ILs and neither of us remembered it was our anniversary until Facebook reminded us.

Picking out a tree together is such a cute idea!
I don't remember what we did for our 4th. We ate out at Ruth's Chris and.. I forget what else.

@swedishfish: oh, thanks for the tips! I've never had a fruit tree before so definitely need to look into it and pick the brains of local farmers as to which ones do best in this climate.

DH bought me 4 hydrangea plants. I carried hydrangeas in my bouquet at our wedding.
I bought him a subscription box for people that like to work out. I figured it would have some fruit flavored items in it, and it does.

He bought me a pineapple (the next day was my due date and I wanted the baby OUT). He also got me a Macy's gift card.
I got him a membership to the Dollar Shave Club and a citrus tree.

We just had ours and at first I totally couldn't remember what we did! But actually we got ourselves a great gift: a nice new mattress. I always forget to look at the themes.
I think planting a tree is a great idea. We meant to put in a nice tree in our backyard soon, so I guess this is actually an appropriate year to do it.
