A list of all the countries you have been to

Here they are, in chronological order no less!

* Taiwan (born in Taipei)
* Korea (my dad's an engineer and built an airport there)
* Japan (lived with family)
* United States (moved here ~3 1/2 years of age)
* Back to Japan, visiting family for a summer (it's ok if I count it again right?)
* Canada - Went to Montreal my freshman year to buy Cuban cigars basically, then discovered they were really expensive and only bought one.
* Canada again - Fell asleep when taking the train from DC to New Hampshire, woke up in Canada.
* Japan one more time for a foreign study program in college (ok last time I'll count Japan, I swear)
* The Philippines a bunch of times to visit my parents
* Italy a few times with my brother; we traveled with his boss
* England
* Italy
* Spain (honeymoon)
* The Philippines with the kids last year

Number of unique countries = 9. Kinda sad... I've never even been to Mexico.

I know I'm missing some. I tried to go in order but I failed at that. I can't think of what I'm missing right now. Current total 19 or 20 depending on how we count Tibet.

I would love to go to Ireland one day and also Austrailia and New Zealand. I feel very fortunate to have visited so many countries, especially in Europe. I have my parents to thank for putting me into music, as many of my trips were with orchestra or choir. My DH has never been to Europe so I'm hoping one day we can go together.

@Mrs. Pen: I lived in Bangkok for a little while. It's a big metro city with all the complications. The outlying areas were amazing. Thailand is surely a complicated country with interesting people.

I've been to Canada, Finland and the Netherlands for an hour or two layovers outside the airport, but that's hardly enough to count them. Stars by places I lived.

@mrbee: LOL at both your Canada experiences. People in Canada go to Cuba to buy cigars. Funny I was just in Cuba 2 weeks ago and on our last day we were buying rum and I said to DH, "Should we buy cigars? I don't want any, but I feel like someone would since we are in Cuba but I don't know who to buy them for!" - So we didn't buy any, if only I knew I could have sent them to you!

@mrs. bird: Lol, nothing wrong with that! I'm a huge geography nerd so I knew of it anyway, but the US did a Survivor series in Vanuatu and that's what I always think of now! We did our babymoon there and it was lovely.
