@sandy: I've actually gotten consistently darker bfp's in the past when I tested in the afternoon. I think it's because I keep a water bottle by the bed, and get up and pee throughout the night, but still, afternoon tests are not bad as long as you do the hold.

Got my test results this morning... and it looks like no PCOS! Hormones and thyroid normal. Ovaries look good. It seems I have just gained 15 lbs of what I'm calling "fat and married" weight
I just noticed as I was reviewing the labwork copies that my progesterone number seem low -- the results give the normal ranges for luteal phase as 1.7-27 and mine was .35. So I just emailed her to ask about that -- she didn't mention it during our appt.
So, there's nothing "wrong" with me... and I was advised to "have fun making babies," which, haha! Still gotta drop those 15lbs though.

@littlek: You're tellin me! I just want an answer one way or the other. I started temping again, just to see where this cycle goesml. I walled you as well.

@loopedd: Was this your CD21 blood work? I haven't had mine yet.
kiwi / 536 posts
@littlek: It was actually done on CD28 (now on CD34.... last cycle was 41 days) because I was at the doc and she wanted to check me for PCOS. I gained all this weight since going off BC, skin's been terrible, etc. Turns out I can blame the weight gain on my behavior, not my hormones! But basically she was like, even though you're early in the TTC process (4 cycles), let's see if you have hormone issues now. I honestly think my cycle is just re-adjusting from the BC.
When will you get your bloodwork? I constantly think something is wrong me with!

I'm not sure what to make of this.. I surged Sunday night/Monday morning, and my OB said she could tell I Oed on Tueaday at my annual. That puts me at 3DPO.
I had light pink tinged CM this morning. Too late for O bleeding (which I've never noticed before) and wayyy too early for my period. It also seems too early for IB.
Thoughts?

@littlek: ok, I'll try to hold as long as possible and then test later today
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@Mrs. Jump Rope: hmm seems early for IB... did you DTD? sometimes spotting happens after that
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@loopedd: I just got CD3 testing. I go in a few weeks for CD21 testing. All my CD3 bloodwork was fine, which relates to my ovaries.

@littlek: Yes, and I also started progesterone last night. I've never had bleeding from either before, so I'm not sure what to think!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Could be anything... our bodies are so weird! Fingers crossed this is your cycle!

It's only 7DPO, but i dont feel pregnant. I'd be very surprised to see a bfp!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: you can definitely bleed from progesterone . . . it can irritate the cervix (my NP just reminded me of this at my IUI). so it doesn't mean anything, just another fun side effect! she said to ignore all spotting while using it.

@loopedd: i'd be seriously asking her about that progesterone, with levels that low I would think you haven't O'd?! Do you think you have?
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@loopedd: that seems like the range for follicular phase... I would definitely talk to your doc.

@cmbknyc: So sorry you are out this month. 2014 should be "it" for all of us!
@fotolori1: Just BD every chance that you can!
@septca: That's great news about your tests!
@loopedd: Those are great test results too! Ugh about the "married and happy" weight. 15 pounds is tough to lose but certainly doable!

@dc yoga bee: i didn't feel pregnant ONE BIT throughout the whole tww so that's not an indication of anything!

So, I need some opinions on what ya'll would do with my poas date. AF is due around the 28th (I didn't temp or use opk's, so that's not 100%, but I'm very regular so I'm pretty confident with that date.) My plan this month was to wait till the 28th, unless I just really feel like AF is coming for certain, in which case I'd wait an extra day or two. But we're going out of town and the earliest we'll come home is late the 28th, possibly not till the 29th. So do I take tests with me, and possibly be tempted to test early (which was very disheartening for me last month to see a bfn, so I want to avoid that, but I have terrible self-control and love to test), or wait until we get back and go nuts wanting to test?
For some reason I'm feeling very optimistic this month, which is a good thing, but it'll make it hard to not test early. I'm just super sure this is our month, even though I'm only 5dpo so I have no reason to think that. I keep trying to talk myself down so I don't get my hopes up! I think it's mostly that I'm afraid to face the fact that my original EDD is next month and I might not be KU again yet, but it's nice to feel hopeful!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Did you have an internal exam at the OB? Could that have irritated things?
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@Torchwood: If it's going to stress you out, I'd bring the tests with you.
blogger / coconut / 8306 posts
@spaniellove: I did, and it usually does, but I didn't notice anything the day of or after the exam. Today it was a smidge of pink tinged CM. And, I have a LOT of it. It's gross. I'm usually dry by now. If I didn't have bloodwork confirm my surge, I'd be second guessing.

@Snowdrop: @littlek: So weird that she didn't mention it, right?! I never got a +OPK this month but I stopped testing at CD20. We talked for a long time but I didn't notice the numbers until I got to my office and was looking them over. All the other numbers indicate luteal phase (estradiol, LH, FSH, etc) and the progesterone is at follicular level. So strange.

BFN...so I'll be expecting AF this weekend. Really hoping for a new year BFP. I bought extra HPTs and put them in my stocking
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@sandy: Boo, I'm sorry.. what dpo are you? Still might be early.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@loopedd: I'm no expert, but it doesn't sound like you ovulated.. at least not according to your results.
pear / 1846 posts
@loopedd: I would seriously be suspicious of a doctor who doesn't flag that up! Good job you noticed. I had a level of 4 on 21dpo (pretty sure I was actually Oing on that day) and my doctor asked me to make sure it was day 21 as it was so low. 4 is lots higher than yours!

@littlek: @Snowdrop: You guys are right. Waiting for a response to my email... and seriously re-thinking this doc.
honeydew / 7295 posts
@Torchwood: I vote for you to not bring the tests! I know it's torture but I feel like if you can make it until AF is due you will feel a lot more secure when you test or you will see AF and that will be that! FX for you!!!
Ladies I am not supposed to start TTC until January but we are considering pulling the goalie this month for a potential January BFP ( not getting my hopes up it will happen that fast again though). I have been experiencing long cycles with a short luteal phase since having my son and nursing (which I still do pretty much on demand). My average has been ovulate CD 21ish and then start spotting on CD 32. I want to temp but ya know I think the universe doesn't want me to temp because I have lost not one but 2 Basel thermometers!! The one i broke down and bought to replace the old one is now gone.My mom brain won't let me find either!!! I co sleep also so my temps may not be as reliable anyway though I would love to confirm O with a shift. I have been using CBEFM and that has mirrored my signs. Well today is CD 12 and I getting a high reading on the monitor! I'm wondering if my body is wanting to start ovulating on CD16 like it used to again. What do you ladies think?
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@MrsMccarthy: hopefully that's the case!! It takes your body awhile to regulate.

@littlek: I have had a period for a year now but I just started a B complex so maybe that's helping? Are you using your monitor these days?

@bhbee: My office is closed from noon the 23rd through the 1st. But my boss is out today so girls have been sneaking out to finish up christmas shopping! I hope you like the company that acquired your company!!

@dc yoga bee: The only reason I tested was because I had no pregnancy or AF symptoms whatsoever and usually I do.
@LittleLashesToes: 8 months. I had just started seeing an RE and was planning on going to an iui next.

@MrsMcD: I love those sneak out days!!
I am not a big fan of this change. But I'm thankful to still have a job so that I have some runway to figure out a next step. They did lay a small number off (only a 50 person firm) and I can't imagine losing your job right before Christmas. DH got laid off right before our wedding so I know how it feels a bit ...
