@littlek: you said you plan to take a break next month, are you going to continue to lead the POAS thread or have you chosen a successor. You are such an amazing MC!!! Sad to see you go and @whatsarahsaid: as well but of course I understand. The stress of TTC can be a lot it seems. I am scared and stressed and we haven't even started to try yet. I think sometimes these boards are supportive but sometimes they also make us all more obsessive!!! I am a crazy obsessive person no matter what so there may be no hope for me.

@Kate6214: thanks lady! I'm sorry you're also waiting - the new normal stinks but I'm choosing to be positive abt 2014 because I don't like the alternative I hope it's amazing for all of us!

@whatsarahsaid: and @littlek: So sorry for both you are girls. Are you taking a break from HB or from TTC in general? I've contemplated taking a break from HB but sometimes I just end up not being very active. TTC sucks when you don't conceive. We will miss you girls!!
And with that, I got a BFN at 10dpo. FML.

@littlek: If you haven't found someone to run the Jan thread, I might be up for it. Are there any special requirements, or just check in regularly and help with answering questions/being supportive, and update/repost the list frequently?

@Snowdrop: I have been off the pill since February and my cycles never regulated themselves. I went 90 days without a period, so back in June, I took progesterone to jumpstart a cycle. Since then, I've had three cycles, 48 days, then 68 days, then 64 days. I am currently on Day 21 so far with no ovulation. Prior to starting birth control when I was 18, I would go anywhere from 2-3 months without a cycle. So there is a definitely an underlying issue. We talked about PCOS and that I have some of the symptoms, so when I get my next period, I will start Clomid (because getting pregnant is definitely the priority right now), but they will also get me in on Day 4 or 5 to do an ultrasound on my ovaries and look for cysts or other irregularities. Metformin is the other medication we talked about, but if I am confirmed to have PCOS, but also get pregnant on the Clomid first, I probably would not start Met until after the birth of my first child.

thank you everyone!! i chickened out and didn't end up calling. i just can't stand the idea of them having any negative feelings toward me... and at the end of the day, it won't change anything...
@MrsMcD: thank you! yup, #2! and 10 dpo is still pretty early! don't give up!!

@MrsMccarthy: @mrs. Panda has graciously offered to host January.
I'll still be around cheering everyone on, we are just taking it easy next month till we know whether or not I'm ovulating.

@bushelandapeck: I remember that feeling of joy of finally feeling like it was all out of your system and that you can start fresh.
@whatsarahsaid: sorry you are out this month.
@doxielove: I hope you ovulate soon
@sarahnicole218: I'm glad that you feel like there is a plan going forward.
@jmarionsmith: crossing my fingers for you. I think it's very encouraging that the tests are getting darker. Sounds like you are going to have an awesome Christmas present next week!
As for me I'm a mess. Still no AF at CD 50 and 16 DPO. I'm calling the OB on Monday. I don't know if I have the heart to test again this weekend, so I'll probably wait until Monday so I can have that info for the doctor. I guess it's possible I still didn't ovulate....I'm just trying not to stress about it. I guess they weren't kidding when they said things would be weird after a loss.

@Kate6214: I'm so sorry I think calling your doctor on Monday is a good idea. It's so funny how differently people's bodies react after a loss. I ovulated early, which never happens for me. I hope you get some answers soon!

@bushelandapeck: I can't believe I'm saying this but yay for a BFN!
@jmarionsmith: What awesome info to hold onto though!! Congrats to you and a happy and healthy 9 months to you!!
@LalaYes: I'm sorry it is so discouraging to see that BFN... still holding out hope for you though.
@Kate6214: Sorry about your cycle... Our bodies can sometimes be a mystery, especially when they are recovering. Hoping you get an answer soon.
@sarahnicole218: I'm in a similar situation, I've been told I have PCOS but I don't have a lot of the tell tale signs of it. Clomid didn't make me ovulate this cycle in a timely manner, but I may have just ovulated on CD33. My body needs to get it together. ETA: Did they talk about putting you on Provera to start your next cycle? Just so you don't have to wait 2 months?
@MrsMcD: It's still early yet!

Any big plans this weekend ladies??
I am just eating breakfast, then heading to the gym. Will stop to get a few groceries on the way home, then I am avoiding the stores and the mall!! The sun is shining here, the first time all week, and it is only -25 (without the windchill!!!) so I might go outside and shovel for a bit!
DH is actually off tomorrow- shocking considering he works in retail! So not sure what we will do tomorrow!

Well we won't POAS till January but we officially pulled the goalie in a semi NTNP style today! I CD 14 with a high reading on the fertility monitor so it's all up to when my body decides to ovulate this month and when we decide to go for it again ( we aren't making a point of BD but just having sex when we are in the mood this month. Next month we will probably do every other day for 10 days or so in the fertile window. Doubtful this month will be our BFP but I am still excited to get things underway.

I just packed a serious POAS bag for our Christmas trip to MI. Two types of tests, little plastic cups, another bag to store the used tests and trash since I'm keeping it all a secret ... Oh and a bag of progesterone too ... This made me feel totally crazy but I think it beats ending up running to cvs and spending a ton on tests if I don't bring any!
honeydew / 7295 posts
@bhbee: hahah they should sell fully equipped kits like yours in the family planning isle at the store. They could call it the baby on the go lot r something.
cherry / 245 posts
@bhbee: I seriously cracked up when I read that you even had a bag for trash, I totally understand your need to keep things a secret...I just think that it is awesome that you have out that much forethought into it.
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
@Kate6214: not my first POAS on the road ...but hopefully my last!
@mrsmccarthy: I would totally buy that!
