    @bhbee: Yikes! I wasn't going to say anything about the losing-the-job part of acquisitions and mergers but you are so right that its nice you still have your job! You must be one of the good ones worth keeping! Now lets hope that good fortune carries over into a BFP!!!

    @cmbknyc: sorry about your bfn. I'm still waiting for AF to start too. It's hard adjusting to a new normal.

    @LittleLashesToes: I'm 30. There are some other factors involved which was why we were going to IUI.

    Well had decided to NTNP this month due to just being diagnosed with high prolactin. Didn't seem worth the stress with it being a long shot and hopefully starting treatment in time for next month. Anyway noticed watery cm and peed on an opk (told myself it was to predict AF) massive blaring positive. Now I want to DTD tonight AND we already did it yesterday. Urgh now I am still going to get tww stress!! Haha I can't seem to do anything right these days

    (sorry this is so long...)

    I've been holding out on you ladies.

    I got a very very light positive test at 10 dpo, Wednesday (12/18) afternoon. I retested yesterday (12/19), 11 dpo, and it was a bit darker so I called my RE's office. The nurse was not happy that I tested before 14 days and said that it still could be the trigger causing a false positive. I call total BS on that. First of all I've tested out the trigger previously (not this cycle, because it admittedly makes me crazyyy) and it was always gone by 8 dpo, and secondly, when my doctor did the IUI he specifically said you can get a false positive for up to 10 days. Whether he meant after the trigger or after the IUI was not clear, but either way, I got a positive on day 11 after the IUI.

    She recommended waiting until Monday to come in to get a beta but said if I insisted I could come in today (yesterday) as long as I understood that it might not be a true pregnancy. Well by this point I just felt stupid and ridiculous so I agreed to wait until Monday. She also said not to test again until then, which of course, I completely ignored.

    The test this morning is a little bit darker than yesterday's, and in my professional opinion means my HCG levels are increasing, so it obviously isn't from the trigger.

    So, should I call back today and insist on getting a beta. Then I could get retested Monday and know if they're doubling. Or wait until Monday to get a base beta? I'd then have to wait until Thursday, due to the holiday, to get retested.

    I don't want them to think I'm crazy!

    eta: If you follow me on Instagram, please please don't mention this. With losses before our first LO, we definitely are not ready for our friends and family to know!

    @jmarionsmith: congratulations!! Those lines are definitely getting darker. I think I would wait until Monday if that's what the nurse wanted, but it would be a very nerve wracking weekend! If you think the doctor would get you in for betas today, then you could do it for peace of mind. But would you even get the results before Monday? I know when I had betas on a Friday, I didn't get the numbers anyways til Monday. In either case, best wishes fora safe pregnancy!!

    @jmarionsmith: congratulations!

    I would call back and request the beta. You'll know today what your numbers are, right?

    I tested out my trigger a few months ago, too, and the lines got progressively lighter, not darker.

    @delight: thank you! you know, that's a good point. i usually get the results the same day but i'm not sure if i've ever had a beta on a friday. and the office does close early on fridays. thanks for talking me down, lady!

    @MrsScottish: @littlek: thank you!!

    @Mrs. Jump Rope: i'm not sure i would get the results today, with it being friday. i didn't even consider that until a pp asked. and thank you!

    @jmarionsmith: well I was just thinking that either way it'd be after the weekend to get results! Enjoy the weekend at any rate and good luck with betas next week!

    @jmarionsmith: congrats! I think you should go ahead and request the betas if that would make you feel more comfortable. I know I wouldn't be able to wait either.

    I tested this morning just to see if I still had any hormones leftover from my m/c and got a BFN! This will probably be the only time I will be happy to say that I was glad to see the words not pregnant but it sure was nice to see I'm hoping my body gets the message soon so we can start ttc again.

    Morning ladies...I am officially out for the month. Trying to look on the bright side and the only thing I can think of is that I can drink with my sister in law over the holidays.

    I am not sure I'll be joining the January board next month. Although we'll still be TTC I think I need to take it down a notch and just take things as they come. I won't be using OPKs next cycle. I'll just DTD EOD starting on CD10 and start temping on CD14 until I get my shift to confirm O. I'm also planning on calling my doctor on Monday to talk about my concerns over a possible ovarian cyst. Hopefully I can get in to see him late next week.

    I'll probably pop in to the January thread to see how everyone is doing but for the most part I'll be laying low next month!

    Thank you to everyone SO much for your support...I cannot tell you how much it means!! xoxo

    @jmarionsmith: Congratulations!! I can't see how these are false given that they're markedly darker, not lighter. And I'd ask for a test today so that you can get the second one Monday, like some of the others have said. You won't get results immediately, but you'll find out how your levels are rising that much quicker! Lots of sticky thoughts for you!

    @bushelandapeck: Congratulations on your bfn! Definitely know that feeling. It's so weird to be happy about a negative, but knowing you'll be able move on soon is such a good feeling.

    Hello Bees! Update from me. I am definitely NOT going to be a December POAS bee, no ovulation detected for me yet. However, I am feeling more confident about our future TTC journey. I visited an infertility specialist yesterday (finally!!) and I got my first prescription for Clomid. Obviously, I have to wait until my next period to begin the 5 pills, and that is probably 40-50 days away (given my cycle history). BUT, I am so happy to finally have a doctor listening to me and helping me take steps in the right direction. I feel so ready to be a mommy, so I'm excited about the fact I have the right team on my side now. Congrats to those of you who received your positives this months! It was was exciting to catch up on the week or so I missed.
