@littlek: Thank you! I feel (and probably sound) crazy and hormonal which is utterly RIDICULOUS considering I'm not even the one on the freaking clomid but I suppose this is just what want for a baby does to us. Makes us all a little bit crazy. (and if not and it's just me, let me pretend )

@littlek: thank you very much, it's so nice to finally be on a board with nice kind ladies, I have been on a few others and on here everyone is so nice to each other compared to other boards! Hopefully won't be in the ttc boards for too long, but nice to know I have people to talk to about it

@Mrs. Chickadee: I just wanted to say that our ovulation and Poas days are the same, so ill keep an eye on your story

@however briefly: Maybe you could consider putting up a public post thanking everybody for their interest/concern and saying that the process is taking a while and you'd appreciate a little space while you wait for good news, however long that might take? I think people would probably get it.

@PawPrints: Yeah, I did do a general post but it appears that everyone views themselves as the exception. "I'm her mother-in-law/best friend/aunt/ex-boyfriend/next-door neighbor growing up! Of course she doesn't mean ME when she says she doesn't want to talk about it for a bit!" God, I love my crazy family and friends but sometimes they need to get over themselves! LOL

@Mrs tartan: Yay! POAS buddies!!! Good luck! I'll keep my fingers crossed for both of us

@Mrs Tartan Welcome to the thread!!
@however briefly: Not that I have personally gone through surrogacy or have used clomid, but when I had a m/c last year (#1), we had told a number of people in the first place about our pregnancy, so we had to tell everyone that the m/c happened. Now that a few months have passed everyone keeps asking if we are going to try again and seems to be a topic of convo with whomever I talk to. So, I just do the easiest thing possible and am less active with my family as a result. Sometimes you just have to do what is best for you.
And here I am with my rant of the day. This whole TWW thing can be quite a bitch sometimes. I have been doing pretty well for the most part, expect this weekend/today I have been completely miserable. With my last pregnancy I got pregnancy symptoms pretty early. This time I am getting the same ones at the same time, which makes me feel 99% positive that I will see a BFP. This in turn is making me feel more anxious than ever and am also hoping that I am not instinctively wrong and end up seeing a BFN. Anyone else in TWW hell and can help me by commiserating with me? haha.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@Eko: ((hugs)) I had 12 failed cycles before I got pregnant with DD, and I was absolutely *positive* that I was pregnant each time. The TWW is a serious head game.

I did confirm ovulation! No cross hairs on FF yet, but I quit tracking for several weeks this cycle (to get a mental break), but based on some intense cramping and textbook EWCM, I think I ovulated Wednesday night into Thursday morning. I confirmed this by temping and noticing each day get higher and higher. Also, I noted my post-ovulation symptoms of tender nipples and gas pains. I have a very off chance of actually conceiving this cycle as we only hit O-3 (or O-4), but the good news is that I don't have to wait any longer to start my first round of clomid. I guess my estimated POAS/first day of AF will be around January 13th.

@butterbean: ssorry you are out this month. I hope you get lots of love for valentines day!
@Adira my cycles were super wacko and continue to be since having my son. I know people who have still conceive deposited that though. Are you charting CM as well? It might help you better confirm O dates. I have heard its more reliable than temping or OPKs. I am using cm and fertility monitor but I think I may try temping again too just vaginally. Good luck to you.
@however briefly: sorry you are feeling over exposed. I know that feeling. If it gets to be too much much you could tell people you are taking a break (meanwhile dot take one) ? I hope you will get your BFP soon and it won't be an issue anymore. Big hug
@snowdrop you are lovely!!!
@Mrs tartan: welcome! I hope your time on here is short and fun.
@Crystal: yeah I think it will be okay. My husband kind of wants to uproot us and move us out of the city and deep into the country. We just moved into this two bedroom in November and now we are TTC so I feel like he is just panicking or something? I dunno but I don't drive and I hate the idea of being isolated. It's been very stressful.
@Eko: oh honey I hope that you are right and you have a BFP coming! TTC is so stressful. I have just started and I can already feel it.
@sarahnicole218: oooh I hope this is it for you!
On my end I am still at boring CD5. My period seemed to be a bit spotty yesterday and today I have brown spotting with a bit of egg white. So random! To keep myself sane I am focusing on trying to meditate, eat well and enjoy my son. A HUGE advantage those of us who are TTC our second have is the hugs of our LOs. I pray that all of you who still haven't gotten your first get your babies really soon.

OK ladies, I need some opinions/advice!
I'm on CD29 today, and have just been waiting for my anovulatory cycle to end, so we can move on to IUI + injectables next cycle, since I don't ovulate on my own. This has been a med-free cycle (previous 5 on clomid) since I did my HSG earlier in the month and we're moving on to something more potent since the clomid hasn't done the trick. My RE thought I might ovulate anyway, since the clomid has been in my system for a while, and signs were pointing toward O'ing mid month (chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/MrsSprite), but I never did and temps have remained low.
So here's where the question comes in. Today I randomly used an OPK, because I've been having some CM the past few days (although its not uncommon for me to have it a few days before AF). I know it's not quite as dark as the control line, but shouldn't an OPK be pretty much stark white around AF's due date?? Has anyone else used an OPK near the end of their cycle and can tell me what yours looked like? I'm wondering if there's a chance I might ovulate still, even though it's really really late, because my body is whack and I don't know how to interpret it after so many months on meds. Otherwise I'm just anxious to move on to the next cycle, but so far haven't had any AF symptoms.

@Sprite: mine actually does get slightly darker towards the end of my cycle but not THAT dark, maybe take another later since you have cheapies and see if it gets darker. I vote BD in case!

So, I got my test results back, waiting on doctor to tell me what they mean. I asked the nurse and she said "I don't know what that number means."
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@Sprite: Looks pretty dark, I'd POAS in the morning to see if you get a positive.

@MrsMccarthy: I'm not BF but my cycle is wacky post LO. So, I feel your pain...
kiwi / 693 posts
@Snowdrop: thanks, that is good to know that yours gets darker toward the end. I've never used OPKs past ~CD22, so I have no idea what to expect. Google hasn't been a help because all I've found are random forum posts about using OPKs as HPTs, and I'm confident I'm not pregnant due to my temps.
@littlek: good idea, I think I'll do just that
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@Sprite: My OPKs show a test line at all times during my cycle, and are often quite dark before they are truly positive, but... a + OPK can also stand in for an HPT. *Any* chance you need to go get yourself a FRER? {ETA: Sorry, I just saw that that is a no-go... I would keep testing to see if you are actually gearing up to O or if it's just a fluke.}
@littlek: What's the number???
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@MrsMccarthy: Oh, honey, I feel you! We currently live in a very urban area in a 3 bedroom house, but only 2 of the bedrooms are really usable as bedrooms (the other is on the ground floor - the other bedrooms are on the 3rd floor - and is really cold). There are some things that are AMAZING about living in the city, but others that are starting to get old fast now that we have a baby. The plan was always to move to the 'burbs before DD went to kindergarten, but lately DH has been saying he wants to move *now* and definitely before #2 arrives. I get where he is coming from - finally and space-wise - but it will also be a stressful move in terms of finances and commutes. Plus, I am not sure I am ready to give up my city life yet. I *know* he's right, but I am so conflicted.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@littlek: Hmmmm. I am totally not a doctor, so I know nothing, but I *think* I remember that that is "normal" but on the low end.
pear / 1846 posts
@Sprite: yeah I used them when I had an urge to POAS. It doesn't hurt to see a neg opk and stops me wanting to take a hpt. I know it makes no sense!
kiwi / 693 posts
@septca: @littlek: LOL, I know that everyone on this board just likes POAS suspense
But really, no need to get hopes up, my coverline is almost always 97.4 and my temps definitely haven't shifted this cycle. No way this could be a bfp chart.
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@Sprite: It could be a really long cycle and you are just now getting to ovulate? I never kept taking OPK that close to AF.
I will say I was in the same boat this cycle, thinking I hadn't ovulated so I took an OPK to see where I stood and it was REALLY dark. Like way darker then I have ever seen an OPK and that is when I knew I needed to take an HPT.

Just got off phone with my doctor... he said everything looks great and that my progesterone number was high and he hopes I will have good news in a few days
cantaloupe / 6869 posts
@Sprite: I've never had a stark white OPK even when I was past ovulation or way before it. I think you always have some LH in your system and that is why... I know that isn't very helpful, though. Hopeful that maybe you are ovulating, just late!

@septca: I wish my husband was open to at least the burbs but he is not! He wants a house with lots of land! I need people, neighbors, good trick or treating and walkable. For now I am taking my friends advice and humoring him/ staying open but if he tries to make an offer or uproot us before I am ready I will dig my heels in hard!
@littlek: yay!!! Fx for you doll

Wow! Sometimes this thread moves so fast! LOL.
I'm having one of those Monday Mondays...you know?
I had to go to the dentist; I'm stressing about DH's job situation, and while walking into work my bag broke open and dropped all the contents of my lunch into dirty snow. -_-
And I just don't want to be at work.
@Mrs tartan: WELCOME! I too have been on some not nice boards. I was thrilled when I found hellobee! My DH and I are following a similar approach to yours, but we are only on cycle 2. We thought at Cycle 6 that we would just invest in an ovacue.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@MrsMccarthy: Are you thinking about moving far away? We live in the suburbs in a great young neighborhood. Even though we are in the burbs, it's a very walkable community. You can walk to the towne ceter, there are tons of pools, bike paths, fishing ponds, etc.

@HolisticMama: You have had a bad week, poor thing! You need a break!
@littlek: That's great!!! FX!!!!
@MrsMccarthy: DH and I have the exact same arguments. He doesn't want to know we have neighbors, but I want a place where I can get to know neighbors! Its one of our biggest arguments.
Every day feel soooooooo llllllooooooooooooonnnnnnngggggggg when you are TTC. I am well within my normal realm of having my first TOM since the MC, but it is killing me that I am now on Day 35 and still no signs or symptoms.

Been on vacation the past two weeks so just catching up a bit (popped in on this thread sporadically though!). I think two weeks helped relax me because I was one huge bundle of stress beforehand... DH and I covered all of the US during those two weeks too - my family in the northeast, his in the midwest and ended with a trip to sunny CA for the Rose Bowl (Go Green!) and got to meet the beautiful @MrsMcD: too!
Here's where I'm at...
Estimated O Date: Monday, December 30, per FF so 7DPO today
POAS/AF date: Likely Sunday, January 12 at 13DPO
Cycle #: Cycle #10 overall, 3rd since our CP
Chart link: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/LindsayInNY
Trying new this cycle: Nothing new, same as always. Unless you count BDing on an airbed at the in-laws as something new...
What are your New Year’s resolutions? Stress less! Not sure about anything else yet.

@HolisticMama: dropping my lunch would put me in a bad mood ALL day!
@littlek: brilliant! Your doctor sounds nice too.
@lindsayinny: glad to here you had a great holiday. I was wondering whatyou were up to and if you were ok.
