You know what would be awesome? If you could just flip from CD1 to a few days before O and then from O to 12 DPO. That would be incredible.

@septca: Word... AF is due thursday.. I'm freaked out checking for spotting... Here's a tip- don't wear red colored underwear while you are waiting for AF to show up... I totally had a freak out earlier today that I was spotting early..

@Crystal: I use clear blue easy digitals. Not the advanced ones. My cycle is fairly regular so I just start BDing a handful of days before I anticipate O. I use the OPKs just to confirm O. And I know the girls who temp will likely say that OPKs don't confirm O. Its true. But I can't really do anything at my home myself besides BDing. So I just BD as much as I can! And since I haven't gotten KU in the 8 cycles I've been trying, I will just keep BDing each month until my next annual obgy appointment.

@Crystal: I didn't really have much by way of pregnancy symptoms during the tww with any of mine. The first time I was so convinced AF was coming that I only tested to give myself peace of mind so I could take advil for a backache. It was a total shock. (We had only bd-ed twice the entire month because DH was working 80+ hour weeks.) Actually now that I think about it, major back pain has probably been my only consistent symptom. Unfortunately I also get it with pms, but it's worse when I'm KU.
Also, how far along were you? I continued to have pregnancy symptoms for a long time after my first, because I was all the way to 9.5 weeks. It took a good long while before the hormones got out of my system. That was the worst feeling.

@HolisticMama: that was actually going to be my next step! The problem with that is I think it might work similarly to the drug levodopa which has a lot of side effects if you get the dosage wrong as it actually acts as a synthetic dopamine whereas the b6 and vitex block receptors therefore encouraging the body to make it's own stuff. An overdose of dopamine causes anxiety, tremors, Agitation etc.so I was going to try a very low amount if this stuff didn't do the trick. I'm a science geek haha

@littlek: the red knicker thing made me laugh!
@scepta: if only we had a fast forward button for our ovaries.

@Snowdrop: I like researching that stuff too. I took dopa after reading about it in a mood-cure book. It worked a lot better then B-6 or l-tyrosine. But I enjoy figuring out how to get to the very basic beginning of something. I was eating a lot of spinach last month to see if I could get the tryptophan to make an impact on my serotonin and sleeping patterns.

@septca: True. True. I'm trying SOO hard not to wish away half of my life while TTC! LOL. I guess I just need to focus on sushi and wine during these two weeks.

@HolisticMama: B6 is working great for any anxiety I am feeling at the moment (we are under serious threat from a family member which I can't really talk about and hate because we are just not the type of people to have those kind of issues if you know what I mean) obviously from this trouble ttc too. I can see why it would work well and really quickly for anxiety though. Did you experience any side effects?

Alright, well I just did my afternoon OPK after holding as long as possible, and then confirmed with a digital. Guess I might actually be ovulating, unless my body is being a tease like it has been in the past. Guess I'll just have to get busy tonight before DH goes out of town, and then wait it out to see if I get a temp rise! I'll update then once I have a POAS date.
pear / 1548 posts
Well I wasn't planning on testing early, but a friend gave me a cheapie test. If I ovulated when I think I did, I should be 11DPO and it was negative. I know I'm not out and I shouldn't get AF until this weekend, but I don't think I'm preg. I'll test again later this week (hopefully on my original test date )
I have been having these pains around my left ovary sporadically throughout this cycle. I don't think it's anything super serious but I hope it doesn't ever get worse! At what point should I be concerned? They aren't keel over intense, but they're definitely strong enough where I can pinpoint where the pain is.

I 'm on CD 11 - really hoping the the Bcomplex I've been taking this month will help to lengthen my LP, or possibly bring my O date earlier in the month. If my O date stays late in my cycle (like it has been) then I probably won't O until around CD22 (the 18th) and unfortunately, DH is going away for work on the 19th for a week
What a crappy way to gear up for my 30th birthday (on the 25th)....knowing that this month is probably a bust.

With a positive opk this morning, and intense cramps on my right side this evening, I hope it means ovulation is tomorrow!?!

@Keppa: awe, will you be able to get in an attempt the day before he leaves? That would still be in your fertile week right? All it takes is just one!
blogger / apricot / 427 posts
@DC yoga bee: I think we'd probably at least be able to get in a couple of days before he leaves - but since my O date has been kind of all over the place, I'm just banking on the Bcomplex doing its job...

@Sprite: can't hurt to BD but I've read that annovulatory cycles can mean sporadic LH and CM.
@septca: TOTALLY! I am so nervous this month. I am trying to relax so stress doesn't do a number on my cycle but the irony is my wonky cycles are what worries me. That and I am still not sure how to approach the whole TTC sex. It feels so weird to tell my hubs we have to have sex now! I am hoping I can make it sexy at first. We shall see. Oy.
pear / 1846 posts
Ok, either I have already O'd or I geared up to O and didn't... Had O pains and watery then EWCM yesterday and the day before (lucky we BD then too) and today it's creamy and no O pains. I hadn't used OPKs as it was so early. If I did O yesterday that would actually put me on track for a 21 day cycle which is what teenage me had. But I don't really like the idea of Oing that early. I was prepared for this cycle o be a little wacky so not bothered either way. I am going to temp and see if I get a rise. Today was distinctly pre O temps ...

@MrsMccarthy: I think making TTC sex sexy is the holy grail of TTC. We just accept that it is timed now and go along with the joke (usually quite crude) so it isn't sexy really but it is fun and we have a laugh with it.

@Sprite: Woohoo!! Hope you had fun last night!
@Boopers: Hmm... how much have you been feeling the pain? Is it possible it's implantation cramping?? Or something else? Hope it goes away! And bummer about the BFN.
@Keppa: Just BD a bunch before you husband leaves! Sperm can stick around for up to 5 days, so you may still be good!
@Snowdrop: Ugh, sounds like frustrating CM to me! Hopefully you get a concrete answer about whether you O'd or not (or will O soon)!
FF took my crosshairs away again today. Not that I'm surprised given my temps. I'm just going to keep temping for the rest of this cycle, but I give up trying to figure out if I O'd or not. I'll start fresh next cycle and track CM as well as temp!
pear / 1846 posts
@Adira: maybe temping just isn't for you if you are waking up with your LO? I like tracking CM because you have the greatest chance of conceiving then anyway so I just make sure to BD then. I am leaning towards CM false alarm fr me too but at least we did BD and I'm having an ultra sound on 13th anyway so I should imagine they'd tell me then anyway. When I think about it, I didn't drink much yesterday, maybe I dehydrated.
@bobbers: every time I feel something like that I think, oh ovulation, implantation?? Oh no maybe a cyst or endometriosis... It's probably just us being hyper sensitive. Try not to worry unless you have other symptoms. It might be implantation at 11dpo!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Snowdrop: Who knows! Temping worked for me before, but maybe BFing is causing it to be all over the place. Xander's STTN, so I don't think waking to nurse him is affecting it (I pretty much get up at the same time every day for work regardless of him), but who knows! I'll have to give CM charting a try next!
I definitely could see how not drinking enough could affect things. Make sure you're well hydrated today and see what happens!

Has anyone had period cramps? What do they feel like? I've never had them before but this past week, I've had some dull cramping on right side low.
kiwi / 630 posts
@littlek: I never had cramps before and that's how I knew I had to take a test - it was a BFP! Of course, ever since my MC i get treated to cramps ever AF woohoo!!!
FX super hard for you!!!!!!
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@cmbknyc: hahaha I don't want to get my hopes up.. but it's definitely something "different" this cycle.. that and sore boobs.. I hate myself for symptom spotting...
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@littlek: I never got period cramps either and when I got my BFP, I had cramping!! FX for you!!!

@littlek: Oooooh! FX!!!!
I had brown CM today, so I am thinking TOM is getting close. Freaking finally.

@littlek: POAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay, okay, I am a POAS pusher. We all know that. But, c'mon. You *know* you want to (I am stalking all of your threads for the last 24 hours, so I really know you want to...). How many DPO are you?
ETA: I just looked at your chart. Tomorrow is 12 DPO, which in my *super-educated* opinion, is absolutely late enough to POAS.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@Snowdrop: If I were you, I would keep an eye on your CM and start using OPKs if it turns W/EW again. The last two cycles I have had a "false alarm" patch of EWCM about a week before I actually O'ed.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@septca: I have tests arriving tonight.. So I may POAS tonight.. Not sure.. Kinda bummed right now.. Co worker who has 9 month old just told me she's 12 weeks pregnant.. I'm happy for her but pissed because DH originally said we would have kids close in age and then freaked out and now it's taking us awhile to get pregnant.. So I blame him for our issues.. Not rational but Whatevs
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@littlek: I hear you, girlfriend. Hubs and I always planned to have babies close in age, but now he's all "one is enough, right?" I told him I was going off birth control and am charging forward even though he's still on the fence! Now I'm scared that because we're not really trying, it'll take forever to happen (if it ever does)! I'm jealous of your coworker.
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@Adira: The Law of Fertility seems to state that since you aren't really trying, you will have a baby ASAP, lol.
@littlek: Definitely POAS!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Crystal: haha, I hope that's true! Except I WANT to have a baby sooooooo badly, so the laws of fertility will make it so I don't get pregnant anytime soon!
