@littlek: I get you, sweetie. But would you seriously want your kids 15 months apart???? (no offense to anyone who planned to do this...) 19 months was my minimum limit and even that scared me half to death.
Also, *try* to wait until morning - diluted evening U likely won't show anything at 11 DPO and that would just be sad.

To everyone trying for #2+ and worried about the amount of time it is taking/might take: I seriously F'ing **HATE** TTC. It's going to be so much harder this time because I already know what it feels like for it to take a really long time. I want to be pregnant so badly this cycle not necessarily because I have the baby fever (we are trying a little bit earlier than I was really "ready" and I have a lot of fears about having 2u2), but because I seriously do not have the emotional energy to TTC for as long as it took last time again. I just can't do it.
Okay, vent over.
Also, our thread is getting messed up (it is taking a really long time to load new pages/show responses on new pages).

@septca: @littlek: I wanted mine 15 months apart!!! Now, as it stands, I'll be lucky if they are 19 months apart...
@septca: I know I'm not even technically TTC yet for #2, but I hear you! I just want to be pregnant NOW and not be on the TTC rollercoaster! I just want to complete our family and never have to do any of this ever again!!
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@Adira: LOL, you are right!
@septca: How long did it take you the first time?
Objectively, I know that DH and I have not been at this for very long. However, we want it *so badly* it seems like a lifetime has happened since our first cycle in July.

@septca: honestly my body probably wouldn't be able to handle that close of pregnancies. I'm just sad

@septca: I have started an opk regime as of today, it was stark White.
It depresses me a little to see all you TTC #2s stressing like this. I always thought it would be easier to be more relaxed for number 2 but obviously not . I don't want to go through this again, want my #2 to be an oopsie! Hope you aren't trying too long.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@Snowdrop: funny enough my first was an oops so TTC has been way rougher than I imagined it would be..
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Snowdrop: It probably all depends on what your plans on! I'm crazy and had a very specific timeline for when I wanted #2 to be born because I want both babies close in age (under 2 years apart)! But if you're not in such a rush or you don't care how big an age difference they have, you might be able to be more carefree about it!
pear / 1846 posts
@littlek: hoping you won't have too long to wait with these symptoms you've been having anyway...
Yes I suppose that is true. I've never particularly imagined myself having two particularly close together so hopefully I wont have to go through this again!
pomegranate / 3577 posts
@littlek: I have so much hope for you this cycle. I know how you feel, though. TTC #1 was the worst rollercoaster ever. And I think #2 is going to be worse, because thanks to HB I know way more than I did then.

@Snowdrop: I agree that " making TTC sex sexy is the holy grail of TTC."
I was actually going to make a thread about this today on the wellness board. There are quite a few people today that believe sexual wellness is an important part of the wellness paradigm. In fact, Walgreens has an entire "sexual wellness" section on their website:
http://www.walgreens.com/store/c/sexual-wellness/ID=359445-tier1
Currently, Pregnancy and Fertility products are right next to Vibrators and Adults toys under their featured products.
I've obviously been thinking about this topic quite often. Primarily because DH just simply will not be called into action if the moment doesn't feel right.
So today while shaving my legs I thought..."Hm...
And I lit some candles and put on some morning meditation music. (I woke him up at 7:15 AM). And I'm only CD8. I just wanted to get down. LOL. After NEVER having a sex drive...I'm excited to be discovering one. I feel like it's a sign that my hormones might be doing what they should be doing.
:: shrugs ::
So have you been thinking or doing anything differently?
Maybe I'm lucky that I married a man who MAKES me think differently. LOL.

@HolisticMama: i was actually just on the victories secret website looking to see if i wanted to purchase a new sexy thong our something for tonight to mix things up since its o day, and i told dh this morning while brushing our teeth to be ready we need to have sex today and tomorrow. I never wear thongs even though he always asks so it might be nice to keep things fresh!
persimmon / 1167 posts
@dc yoga bee: And then there was also that part on the Sperm Race that talked about the better the sex is...the more fresh and happy sperm.
It's definitely worth considering.
pear / 1846 posts
@HolisticMama: I love your pictures hahaha! My DH would not notice caddles or music. At the moment we are going through a phase of finding horrible euphemisms for sex, it makes us laugh and gets us into it. Like yesterday I cuddled up to him on the couch and asked him if he wanted a bit o' the old in out? It turned out he did.
persimmon / 1167 posts
@Snowdrop: DH is so closed mouth on discussing what will get him in the mood. It drives me nuts. I spent an hour this morning putting together an entire list of things that we could try to see if it would call him into action.
This morning, I asked him, "So what about this morning did you like enough that it made you want to wake up and let me have you" And he was just like, "I don't know." He totally clammed up.
" bit o' the old in out " LOL! Hehehe.

@HolisticMama: aw bless him, I guess it's going to have to be trial anderror then!

@Snowdrop: He was looking for something in my bathroom drawer, and noticed the preseed was in an awful big box for just some lube. And he discovered the "syringes!" So, yesterday he tells me at 7:45 to go insert my lube so we can get it in before our show came on at 8! 1) youre only giving me 15min!?! 2) can we get any more unromantic!?!
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@dc yoga bee: hahahaha my DH LOVES preseed.. we had to fit in a quickie and DH was like make sure to use the preseed we have to make this quick... so romantic....
Sorry for being all drama earlier... feeling better now..
pear / 1846 posts
@dc yoga bee: & @littlek: my DH doesn't actually know that the secret to our quickies is preseed (he hasn't discovered the tube and syringes) hahaha

@littlek: just read your post earlier that you're having a little bit of cramping and sore boobs..I HATED symptom spotting and never did it..but this month I did notice some weird pulling/slight cramping and also, my boobs felt heavy and slightly sore. Those were what gave me the strength to test at 12dpo and it was positive! Hoping this is it for you, friend xo

I'm sorry I've been kind of MIA the past couple of days, I have been working and I just started grad school this week! I skimmed the posts (you guys are active! ) and I tried to update the list accordingly. If I missed anything, I'm very sorry. Please reply to me so I am flagged and I will be sure to change whatever the discrepancy is.

@Crystal: It took 13 cycles for DD, but that required surgical intervention (both of my tubes were blocked, so we could have tried forever with no success had my husband not pressured me into the surgery).
Like @DCYogaBee said yesterday, it doesn't actually matter what the number of cycles is when you throw up your hands - it's *your* experience and you get to go through it however feels right. That said, I know people who have had MUCH worse TTC journies than mine, so I count my lucky stars every day that I have an identified problem, it has a solution, we were able to have DD, and I work with a team of medical staff that is absolutely wonderful.
@Adira: and @Snowdrop: I hear you. I used to think 24-30 months apart would be my perfect scenario. Unfortunately, my body has other plans. I'm *ready* to have another baby and I like the idea of getting the babyhood stages over in one big lump (we think we want 3), but it's hard to know you're on the clock. (I say as I sit here feeling the endo burn through my side right. Sigh.)

@Mrs.Panda: I missed you! Hope school starts off great, and without a hitch! Whenever you update the list next, and no rush can i be added to Jan 25 please? Its the weekend after expected af, although we all know I will probably test early and often! Thanks love!

@littlek: fx for you, friend!
I'm hanging out on CD 15 with no sign of O (unless somehow I already missed it?) and feeling a little disappointed. I'm not the most patient person so this is tougher than I could have imagined.

@bushelandapeck: Why can't you when you get home? I usually do OPKs when I get home from work around 8-8:30!

@littlek: we are just starting this month but I already feel you on the husbands taking it for granted that we will get KU by them looking at us. My husband is so convinced he has super sperm. I hope he's right but it makes me really nervous. I do think you are KU this month though!!!!
@septca: seriously! I haven't even really gotten to TTC yet and I already feel psychotic and consumed by it all. If I don't ovulate this month I may lose my shite!
@HolisticMama: hanahahahah love it! I need to shave everything too. It's only CD 7 though so I am waiting until next week.
@Snowdrop: hahah love it! Euphemism game sounds fun. Gotta keep your sense of humor.
@Adira: hang in there girl! I'm right with ya!
@bushelandapeck: oh man! When do you usually O? Could be stress or just hormones regulating. My O has been late since giving birth. B complex seemed to help a but if you are looking. For something to try. When is our hubs out of town?
pomelo / 5720 posts
@LindsayInNY: you're right, I definitely can test tonight. I usually go to bed around 9pm so I'll just have to make sure not to use the bathroom before that! Lol.
@MrsMccarthy: he's been out of town since Sunday and won't be home until late tonight. We BD Fri/Sat but I don't think I O'd yet. I usually O around CD 17/18 so there is still time. I haven't had any CM signs though, which I usually have around now. I'm just being impatient
nectarine / 2358 posts
@dc yoga bee: I've missed you! I updated you on my list and edited my last post to reflect your POAS date. First day was good, but I can definitely see all the work going into it. Bah.
ETA: I am super emotional today. My OPK was negative today but my boobs are kind of tender and I started to well up when I saw a picture of a daddy baby wearing. What the hell. I am NOT a crier, like ever. Even when I hold the hands of people as they die, I'm not tearing up. What are these feelings!

@bushelandapeck: so maybe t
It's a good thing then because you will O late and you can really cover your bases by going more days!!!

Okay ladies, I need some opinions because I'm new at this and I think I'm going crazy.
My cycles are usually 30-33 days. Day 35 came and went and no AF. We BD right around my O, but were still actively preventing, and then again on CD29, when my temp dropped and all signs still pointed to AF the next day.
I haven't gotten any of the AF symptoms I always get - break outs and spotting a couple days before and this morning I was super dizzy/nauseous. My temps are a little higher than they were a few days ago, but still on the lower side. It doesn't make sense, but is it possible I could be pregnant, or is my period just coming late to mess with my mind?
On a side note, I haven't been active on this thread, but I've been trying to follow along and I'm rooting for everyone this month!
