@Cole: I'm starting cycle 5 too.. Fingers crossed this is it for both of us!!

@septca: We've been using digital ovulation tests and switched over to non-digital ones plus temping this month, fingers crossed that it makes a difference! I'm also suspicious that they've been giving me the wrong O date. And I'm totally an early and often tester, but this month might be an exception - partially because it's getting so discouraging seeing a BFN, and partially because DH says I need to stop wasting money on pregnancy tests, haha.
@Crystal: @Boopers: @littlek: Sorry to hear that you ladies are out for this month, fingers crossed for Valentine's babies!
@Weagle: Yay!! So happy for you, glad someone finally got a BFP
@Mrs.Panda: Our spare bedroom is currently the computer room, but it will eventually become our next baby's room! I actually bought DH a laptop for Christmas so that he doesn't need the desktop anymore and I can get rid of the stuff in there once we're finally ready to turn it into a nursery. I don't know if we'll do a registry since this is Baby #2, but I do already have two bookmark folders on my computer, one for a boy and one for a girl, haha! We don't need too much...furniture for the new nursery, a second changing pad, wipes warmer, and monitor, a double stroller, a breastfeeding pillow (didn't have one with our son and I wish I had,) and maybe some newborn cloth diapers (we've always used the one-size ones with our son since we didn't start CDing until he was 6 months.)
I'm kind of crazy with the nursery decor though, so I'm sure lots will be bought in regard to that. I kind of like the idea of Team Green this time around, but I'm so type A about the nursery that I'm not sure.

@weagle: Congratulations!! Seeing that test made me really happy. Happy and healthy 9 to you!
@Mrs.Panda: The smallest bedroom in our house is right next door to our bedroom. It's currently the office, but once I get my BFP, the desk is out of there and we have a travel themed nursery planned. I already have a vintage light-up globe (that will serve as a night light) sitting on the desk.
Happy Saturday all!!

@weagle: WOOHOOO!!!! Congratulations!
As for baby stuff, I've definitely day dreamed about it before. I've thought about painting our guest bedroom that we will be using as a nursery.
I have a pinterest board with ideas: http://www.pinterest.com/lunarsongbird/bambi-inspired-room/
We want to do a sweet Bambi theme for a girl and DH came up with the idea of Lion King for a boy.
But to be honest, we'll probably only start with cloth diapers, some nursing stuff, clothes, a couple slings, and a side-car sleeper. I guess it depends on DH's job.
This morning I am watching The Bachelor in 5 minutes segments on YouTube because the DVR didn't catch it. Boo. I need to clean up the rest of Christmas and want to do a little deep cleaning in the family room. What are you ladies up to?
pomegranate / 3791 posts
@HolisticMama: Bahaha great picture! I need to have something to eat and start cleaning...we finally took down the Christmas tree and our house is a wreck - I need to find places for the Christmas presents (thinking we're not at the point where our son needs a toy box because these are not going to all fit on the shelves in his room,) take the boxes of Christmas decor back up to the attic, and do some cleaning.

@HolisticMama: Cute pic! I'm just hanging on the couch with the Yorkies. I'm browsing Amazon reading up on reviews on pregnancy test. I want to place my order, but I don't want to get a faulty batch of wondfos. But, I'm tired of using 6-8 FRER in a cycle

My brother and sister-in-law are expecting their first next month (!) and they chose the Britax B-Agile for their stroller. I will definitely have to get their opinion on it once we get KU.

@Weagle: Wooo! Congrats!!! Hopefully there's a domino effect from here starting tomorrow

@HolisticMama: That picture made me seriously LOL!
We bought a two bed condo in April and the second bedroom has been a junk room kinda since. I don't want to make it one thing just to change it to a nursery. So it's a semi-office now (and will stay that post-baby) and its holding firewood too. Random, I know!

thinking about what I will do with baby is actually one of my techniques when I'm obsessing. It sounds crazy but it stops me googling pregnancy symptoms and is quite calming! @dcyogabee: & @holistic mama: I really want to CD too with sone elements of EC but not really sure where to start with that one. I'm quite up on BLW from my time with health visitors.
As form the nursery, we have a roo. I refuse to touch till I'm KU. But I'm thinking gender neutral vintage circus...

@Weagle: YAY, congratulations! I'll admit to checking in every now and then since your post about cramps, and I'm really happy to see this positive

@Snowdrop: What does EC and BLW stand for?
I love the vintage circus theme! We will be gender neutral, and I really like curious george, a safari theme, or just grey and white and then add pops of bright pink or blue accents once we bring LO home and know if they're a boy or girl.
ETA: I also have really been digging owls lately! If we did the grey and white color scheme I would add in some owls. DH says they're spooky lol.

@dc yoga bee: elimination communication and baby led weening. I like things to be overall gender neutral as it stops you falling in the every thing pink/blue trap. Curious George would be gorgeous!

@Snowdrop: Googling these new discoveries now. I'm hoping Elimination Communication does not bring up something gross

@dc yoga bee: I wouldn't want to go the whole hog but if it was obvious LO was aving a poo... And lots of nappy free ti e in the house. My mum said they used to 'hold the baby out' when changing and more often then not you got something (less changes).
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@Snowdrop: Whoa!!!! Okay, so is this for someone who is stay at home? What about during the night? So, the baby isn't in diapers even at night? How would you catch the cue? what about when baby is in daycare? I have so many questions!
pear / 1846 posts
@dc yoga bee: yeah don't get me wrong that's why I mean elements of it. Not the whole thing...you'd never leave the house! I think it's for baby wearing types. But m mum said people used to have lots of nappy off time in the house and you'd learn cues. You would also get them to go when doing changes too. It didn't have a name back then, it was just a way of washing less nappies (she helped bring up her little brothers, I was in disposables).
Owls are very in right now in England!

@Snowdrop: I found this interesting article

If you look at the tiny picture on the left, the baby is just out with no pants. I would worry about them getting cold.

@dc yoga bee: yeah! We have about 3days a year over here when a baby could be outside bottomless. I think doing it full time must take over your life...

I love your QOTD @Mrs.Panda
I just started a private amazon wish list a few days ago, actually. It has very few things on it.
As for a nursery, We have a spare "catch all" room. It it part office, part guest room, and part storage. Well have to clear it out to make room for future LOs.
I think I want a gray and white with pops of yellow theme, but I also kind of want that for our room, so who knows what I'll actually go with. I also love doing a baby lion theme, so we'll see. I love all the nursery ideas everyone has!
We have the option of using the baby furniture i had as a baby, but So many people have borrowed and used it and i don't think took good care of if that it makes me hesitate. We will probably end up buying our own gender neutral set.

@littlek: @cmbknyc: @Snowdrop: @Mrs.Panda: @LovelyPlum: @LindsayInNY: @sarahnicole218: @sandy: @ShayNanigans: @MrsMccarthy: Thanks ladies! (hugs) to everyone who is out this month so far as well.
As far as going to the dr. I haven't gone yet. Part of me really wants to make it to 12 cycles only because I feel like I want to be armed with as much information to take to my doctor. I'd hate to go and them say "we need to wait for you to hit ___ months before doing anything." I've always read the average is 6-12 months, so I'd at least like to wait until we hit the tail end of that. I'm not sure if that's even entirely rational, but when you're TTC is everything always a rational decision?! lol
My plan is to make an appointment in March to get my yearly pap and talk to my doctor if we aren't successful by then. My cycles are usually 26-27 days so I should have completed 12 cycles at that point.
This is also very silly, but last summer I had a Cheri22 reading and June was the month she gave me. I am trying not to read too much into it, but I keep thinking if that will be true. I'm pretty miserable with my current job. I'm a teacher and I don't have an option but to get through the current school year which ends in June. I wonder if I need to just get out of this stressful environment for us to be successful. I'm actively networking and looking for other jobs for next school year, so fingers crossed I get something! It will help my outlook on a lot of things in my life right now.

@Boopers: you have to do what is right for you.. Everyone's TTC journey is different
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@Boopers: ((hugs)). I am so sorry you're current job situation isn't good. FX for you networking leads to something great. Also, I don't think you are being irrational at all. We all have to have Hope, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Okay, AF reared her ugly head this morning...2 days early. Her stay is unwelcomed but...it is what it is. I have been talking to a therapist for the past couple weeks and really feel like im not carrying around as much weight on my shoulders as I have been. She said she read a devotional the other day and thought of me.It went something along the lines of "G-d knows where you are, and you are right where you are supposed to be." Ya, this is taking a HELL of a lot longer than I thought. Thats an understatement. But, im right where I need to be. Im letting this be a time I focus on me and the good things and people I have around me.

@LindsayInNY: we used to actually call our second bedroom "the random room". we rented the 2 bed knowing we wanted a LO but it didn't happen for a while.
I didn't let myself make lists or plan anything in advance for LO ... Infertility and losses take away the excitement, at least for me. But it was one of my happiest days ever when we had a good 18wk ultrasound and I let myself start the nursery and registry!
The only thing I have done this time is I have a big sister Tshirt stashed deep in my drawer. Someday I will get it out, I always fantasize about telling our parents by sending a picture of LO in it. So let's hope my treatments can get me in gear while LO still wears that size!

@Boopers: do whatever feels right for you. I really hope June (or earlier) is your month. Hating your job is justthe worst. I went through that an it still upsets me thinking back even though it was 4 years ago. Lots of hugs.

@newatthis: awe man, I'm so sorry to hear this. ((Hugs)). I think it's good you are talking to someone about your feelings, and working through them. I hope AF stays far far away next month.

@Mrs.Panda: that's what we have for a stroller and though I love it, it doesn't convert to a double so we will have to buy a differen one once we have #2. The B-Ready is probably what we will go with, and should have bought in the first place. Lo
@littlek: I have a big brother t-shirt saved in my amazon cart

@littlek: okay. So if you talk big talk about testing early, you have to share your results. BFN (but another of those annoying Wondfo evaps) at 8 DPO. But I totes think I am KU. I also thought that every single one of the 13 cycles it took to conceive DD.
I am drinking extra wine tonight just in case.
