@LindsayInNY: the weird thing is I have no CM. I had several days of EWCM this month but nothing the past 4-5 days. I'm happy either way. At least I know I'm ovulating!

@Crystal: I had a EWCM on a Monday and believe that I ovulated on Wednesday.

@Mrs. Chickadee: I may have missed this somewhere, but what makes you think you that you won't be pregnant someday? This is Cycle 10 now?
I'm sorry that you are feeling down.

@Crystal: Thank you! I am saying I will POAS on the 28th, but I probably won't make it that long! I'll probably check at the end of the week.
Good luck to you as well! I get EWCM for 2-3 days before a positive OPK. If I were you, I'd wait until tomorrow. You should have some guys in there waiting now in case you O between now and then. So if you wait until tomorrow, you should be covered the whole time if an egg shows up!

@HolisticMama: Thanks for the support I know I might be pregnant someday. I sort of meant it would just be easier to get through each cycle if you KNEW that one day you would be. It just gets harder with each passing cycle to feel that way. I'm in the TWW of cycle 9 and I don't feel anything...I know some people don't but I want implantation cramps or sore boobs or something! So I just feel like maybe this cycle isn't it and on to cycle 10. I know in the scheme of things that I am still in the "normal" range, but it is taking a lot longer than I thought it would. I'm not out yet this cycle (will probably begin testing at the end of the week) so I'll keep my fingers crossed for that. It's just one of those days where I feel bummed out about it.

@Crystal: Yes! Absolutely BD tonight! Opks only give you a short window. Good CM keeps sperm alive! Go girl and good luck

@bushelandapeck: that's very pregnant sounding if you don't have fertile CM! I've read that creamy wet or dry CM are most common when pregnant. FX for you!
pomelo / 5720 posts
@Mrs. Chickadee: fx this is your cycle! I'm sure you will be a mama, hopefully sooner than later!
@crystal: I'd probably try again tonight unless there is some concern about your DH sperm. The first cycle we got KU we BD every day and then o+1.

@Mrs. Chickadee: my official POAS date is not til early February, but I'll start testing late January.
I understand about feeling a little defeated. Even though up to one year is perfectly normal, it can be hard for it take so long and be worried there is something wrong. The only thing that gives me comfort when I'm feeling that way is that I *know*
I will be a mom someday, even if I don't get to carry the baby.
Thanks everyone for the BD advice! If we don't get home too late tonight, then we'll be again. If not, I feel good about tomorrow.

I know I asked this once before but I can't remember the answer. I'm having a mix of creamy CM with tiny patches of clear, not very stretchy egg white. How would you mark this down on FF? I definitely have more creamy than I do EW
cherry / 119 posts
@bushelandapeck: Thank you!!! And I love your name by the way! My grandmother used to sing that song to me
@Crystal: Thanks for the support. It's true - it will happen one day. I know I have A LOT of options left if the good old fashioned route doesn't work out on it's own. I haven't even begun any treatments yet, so I have faith that something out there will work! Good luck with the BD timing this month I'll keep my fingers crossed that this cycle is the one for you!
@MrsMccarthy: Since it's mostly creamy and not very stretchy, I think I'd go with "creamy". I almost always have a creamy EW mix because the EW stays high up around my cervix and the rest is more creamy (sorry if TMI!). SO as long as I have some EW around my cervix, I mark it as EW. It is always really stretchy though and it doesn't sound like you have that. I'd wait and check later today and tomorrow...it might be almost there!

Hurumph. I have NO idea what's going on with my cycle. I'm CD20. What I thought was 5DPO, but I took an OPK in the middle of the day today without holding, to kind of see what they did throughout the cycle.... and it was darker than in the last week. What the heck? I also had a bit of what seemed liked EWCM (but it wasn't very stretchy) and a pretty big desire to DTD (which DH was not up for...which made me super frustrated. I wish I was a runner.)
So just a confused vent, I think. You know me- I'm just going to go with the flow. (But gosh darnit! I wanted to DTD! Especially if I somehow missed ovulation and my body is trying it again or something. I don't know. Bodies be crazy. :: shrugs :: )
Do any of you have the day off?
I'm heading to lunch, but will have to bring my laptop to do HW. -_-

@MrsMccarthy: Oh hey! I'm having that same CM! It's gross to say that we are CM buddies, huh? Yeah... So pretend I didn't say that. How are you feeling otherwise?
honeydew / 7295 posts
@littlek: thanks. I'm marking it as creamy!
@Mrs. Chickadee: thank you. no such thing as tmi on here! I'm 2DPO so I'm not expecting to be fertile right now. We shall see.
@HolisticMama: dang it! I hope you can convince your husband to go for it. A work on OPKs though: you can sometimes have more than one positive. You could be pregnant, could be an annovilatory cycle, there are many possibilities. Wouldn't hurt to BD though especially if you are in the mood!! I hope he comes around. Oh and no worries, I am hard to gross out!
I feel tired but good today. My nose is running a bit. I got very congested during my pre BFP weeks and a bad sinus infection but that could have easily been coincidental.

@MrsMccarthy: I'm sick too! It stinks! I managed to rally last night and BD but I'm hoping I feel better soon. BD will being sick is no fun.

@MrsMccarthy: I'm on my phone posting for the first time, but my fingers are crossed for you. And my toes. Do you think you will wait to test? Or test a bit early?
I hope OPKs don't become my nemisis. Lol. It's all in good fun for me.

@littlek: mine feels more like allergies than sick this far. I hope you feel better soon doll.

@HolisticMama: I am 2DPO now so perhaps in 9 or 10 days I wi start but that's pretty close to my planned test date already. My fingers are crossed for you too my dear!!!

@Mrs. Chickadee: I often wish someone could tell me I know you will get pregnant one day. I could totally relax more. It must be so hard on month nine. I am 6 at the moment and already dreading month 9... Lots of hugs
grapefruit / 4649 posts
@Mrs. Chickadee: I can totally relate to the idea that it would be easier if I knew for sure I would be pregnant one day. Knowing when it was going to be would be even better. If someone could just say "hey, you'll be pregnant in May" I would be great with that. I was having a mini meltdown last week and a friend was shocked and said she was surprised I was so stressed since I am normally a very patient person and I basically told her the same thing you said. I am so worried that there is something wrong with my reproductive parts that I am probably creating a self fulfilling prophecy by way of stress.
pomelo / 5720 posts
@Mrs. Chickadee: thank you! My LO loves when I sing him that song
persimmon / 1167 posts
@Cole: I'm pretty fearful of self-fulfilling prophecies. I think that the mind, spirit and energy are so powerful. Sometimes the TTC journey seems to trying. I wish I could promise everyone that they were going to get pregnant.
honeydew / 7295 posts
@HolisticMama: I can be superstitious despite myself but I also don't believe in self fulfilling prophecy unless its something you have control over. I feel like that puts a lot of undue blame on the person suffering. I love the idea of staying positive but make sure you are easy on yourself if there are times when you feel more hopeless too.
cherry / 119 posts
@Snowdrop: 6 months is hard too! That's sort of when I felt like "okay, this isn't going to be easy". Now I feel like I'm on the downslide to a year and I'm just ready to see if there's anything actually wrong. Thanks for the hugs - right back at you! I hope you get a BFP soon
@Cole: I worry about the same thing! I don't feel stressed but I do feel pessimistic. I have this weird fear that I will somehow jinx myself by thinking I'm not pregnant! I keep reminding myself that I spent the first four cycles TTC absolutely convinced that I was pregnant and it didn't make it so. It's either going to happen or it's not. I'm just going to keep doing all the same things and hope for the best...but be paranoid about the worst sorry to hear about your meltdown - I've been there! Even if you're normally calm and patient, this is such a different experience than anything else. Hang in there and feel free to vent!

I'm sending positive thoughts to everyone right this very moment. Can you feel them? :0)

@fotolori1: A hellobee baby boom would be AWESOME! LOL!
How are you feeling? What's your week look like?

I'm off work until Thursday night! Wooohoooo! Progesterone level check for Thursday, but that's all so far! How about you??

@HolisticMama: adorable!!! Really hoping the remaining ladies get their BFPs to close out the month strong! The rest of the ladies (including myself) will just have to wait for a valentine BFP
I think several ladies purchased fertility monitors so I'm hoping that does the trick! I'm planning to try the Clear blue easy digital OPKs for my next cycle...two friends said it worked the first month for them so I'm really hoping that's the case for me too
persimmon / 1167 posts
I've lusted after an ovacue, but they are so expensive.
http://www.ovacue.com/
I wonder how it compares to the other fertility monitors.
I have especially been thinking about it today, because my symptoms today make me go:
apricot / 386 posts
I am interested in checking into the fertility monitor. I may wait until a couple more months to try it. Is the clear blue the best? Have you tried one? If they make all the difference I will go get one tomorrow!!!!

@fotolori1: When do they like checking your progesterone? CD23?
Why do you have it checked?
I think it's interesting that my acupuncturist also likes seeing me on CD23.
persimmon / 1167 posts
I'm not sure, but I read this interesting thread today:
http://babybumpapp.com/community/groups/88/posts/1783969-ovulation-predictor-kits-opk-info
It made me want to go and buy a ClearPlan Easy Ovulation Test Pack, but why does all this stuff need to be so expensive?
apricot / 386 posts
@holisticmama: you are hilarious! I'm the same way!!! I am 6 dpo, I have had several stabbing pains on my left side for the last 3 days. Less today, but still there, occasional AF cramps and lots of CM. Plus my cervix is still HSO. All of which are new for me. Makes you hopeful, but I am so use to BFN's that I won't let myself be optimistic. What symptoms have you had today???
apricot / 386 posts
Which CD are you on @holisticmama? Do you have a regular cycle? I know exactly what you mean about expensive!! I am in debt about $3000 to my RE and still not pregnant! Not to mention all the junk I buy each month! Makes you so envious of people who "accidentally" get pregnant.
persimmon / 1167 posts
@fotolori1: Well- the only thing that makes me feel weird is that I was messing around with OPKs again today. (I'm trying to figure out how they work for me). I thought I ovulated on the 15th and my OPKs kept getting progressively lighter, but today the OPK looked pretty dark, not positive- but definitely darker then what I have been seeing the last few days. Weird. I also am having CM, which is weird for me because usually I'm bone dry after O. Sore boobs.
And I'm just thirsty. Oh, and a wee bit emotional. I nearly cried today watching a little boy be so very sweet today with his brother at the chiropractors.
I feel good and hopeful. And I have plans for a cleanse if I see a BFN this month.

What I wouldn't give for an accidental pregnancy. I was thinking the other day about a girl that I brought to planned parenthood in college so that she could terminate her pregnancy. She got to see the ultrasound first...the little bean on the screen.
:: sigh ::
It's not healthy to think about and I don't know why it popped into my head on Friday.
But oh, how I day dream of seeing that bean on the screen.
