@coopsmama: thank you! The books are only about $9 on Amazon, roll coins it's actually saved me money because I don't get bored and go walk around stores haha! You should totally ask for one for Christmas if nothing else.

@Bao: oh I'm putting one on my Christmas list! And you'd better believe if DH slips and buys himself something I'm gonna order one. I didn't realize they were so cheap on Amazon. I was out shopping today and they were more expensive so will definitely order online.

Just finished this page! My birthday is Sunday and I've begged DH for nice pencils and decent books! I want to colour something other than fish!

@farawayyama: that looks great! Hahaha I love how creative you are

@Bao: thanks! I don't feel creative! It's what I like about colouring. I have a nice scaffold to try within!

@.twist.: love it! I love all the shading. Wish I had a better eye for that stuff. I'll post pics when I get home, I have a few finished now.

@.twist.: looks great!!
I'll have another done in a day or two. It's been a rough week so no coloring time for me!

@Bao: love that. I love that you filled in the background instead o leaving it white! Makes it pop

I finished this the other day and forgot to post it! Haven't started a new one yet.

@.twist.: thanks! Only bummer is you can see the marker lines

@abbydabbydoodlebug: lovely! Nice shading in the ears and chest furs! Now, if only they made real purple bunnies, I'd get one in a heartbeat. Fav colour right there!
@Bao: honestly, I kind of like it. It almost adds movement or something. I am a fan.

I'm going to jump on the bandwagon and buy myself a coloring book! I've been stalking this thread for awhile now. DH and I made a little extra money the other day, and decided we would spend our share selfishly.
I'm currently trying to decide on markers vs pencil crayons. Those of you using markers, do you find that they bleed through the page? That's what I'm most concerned about.

@Shizaz: I'm sure it depends on the coloring book, but I have both the secret garden book and the enchanted forest book and my markers don't bleed through at all. The paper seems to be pretty high quality.

My least favorite so far. Must pick a color scheme instead of using every color available!

@Shizaz: I don't know about some of the other colouring books, but the Johanna Basford books have really thick paper that markers wouldn't seep through. I'd imagine others are similar?
Can't wait to see your contributions!

@2farmmoms: Love your pages!!! I love that you did the one leaves page with fall colours. I totally get stuck in a "leaves are green" funk and I really need to EXPAND. hahaha Yours are beautiful!

@2farmmoms: Thank you for the reply! Your pictures look amazing. Are you using the Staedtler markers that a lot of people mentioned using in this thread?
clementine / 854 posts
@.twist.: Thank you! I will keep that in mind. I haven't gone to look at any in person yet, so it's good to know that most of them have pretty good quality paper.

@.twist.: haha thank you! I think sometimes in an effort to make it interesting I just use ALL THE COLORS. Not always the best idea but it's fun to see what works and what doesn't anyway! And living in CA Imiss the New England fall colors so much!

@Shizaz: yes! I love them. I have the 20 color set of fine liners and also the 36 color set. My partner started coloring too so we figured we needed more pens. I really like the super fine tip.

@2farmmoms: I like when people use lots of colours. I get really stuck in a rut with colouring anything a colour it isn't supposed to be. I guess it goes against my subconscious or something. lol. I'm really trying to step out of the box. I did some blue mushrooms in my current page. So proud. LOL

@Shizaz: looooove Staedtler markers/pens!! @.twist.: haha the one I did previously with all the green leaves left me so bored at the end!
Some times I end up regretting color choices but I can't do a million green leaves!

I've been lusting along at everyone's pictures because mine has been taking F.O.R.E.V.E.R. Finally finished it after like a month

@.twist.: Your pics are so good!! I love looking at all your shading and color choices
@abbydabbydoodlebug: Your fox and rabbit are adorable! Are you going to take them out and frame them? I think most of these pics would look great framed

@swurlygurl: Wow! I love it! That page took me FOREVER too! All the others have gone so much faster for me.
