I just recently got into adult coloring and it is so much fun! It is very relaxing and gives me something to do other than browse the internet or watch TV. I never thought I would care much for something like this but I am so glad I gave it a try. It's much more fun than my LO's basic coloring books, thats for sure!
Has anyone else tried adult coloring before? What do you think of it?

I love coloring! And I get very tempted to buy those awesome meditation coloring books but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I feel like I'd need/want nice pencils to go with it. I Just haven't done the research on that yet.
I airways loved coloring with my nieces when I'd babysit them. I'm looking forward to the day where my DD is old enough to sit and color with me!

@abbydabbydoodlebug: I did a lot of research too. I wanted something nice but didn't want to spend a fortune. I ended up with markers actually, but I'm more of a marker person vs colored pencils.

I just got the Magic Garden colouring book this week, and some nicer pencil crayons to go with it... I am loving it! Like you said, it's a nice way to zone out other than TV. I put some music on, have a glass of wine and go to town

I have the Animal Kingdom colouring book at work, some decent coloured pencils, and a 20 pack of markers. It's a nice way to spend 10 minutes of downtime when I start to feel stressed.

@abbydabbydoodlebug: no definitely not, they do have some nice colored pencils for under $20. I got the Staedtler markers, maybe the pencils have good reviews as well!

I have a few, I tend to like the ones that are pictures, rather than designs.
They make great gifts too, for the people in your life that you don't know what to get.

I found one at Target the other day and I fell head over heels with it. It's called Fantastic Cities by Steve McDonald. I love the illustrations so much, we are actually framing the un-colored pages and hanging them in our guest room. I'm making copies to actually color. I might try watercolor as well.

Have it and love it! Struggling to find time with a newborn at home but I find it very relaxing. Those that use markers does it leak through the pages? That was my fear.

A fellow HB user posted her adult coloring book on IG and it got me looking for books. Haven't purchased any yet. I did love using colored pencils when I was in school.
There's quite a large selection. Anyone know of any with under water themes and sea life? If it weren't for my sea sickness, I probably would have become a marine biologist.

@Synchronicity: not in the Enchanted Forest one since it was the second book to come out they made its pages thicker. I think I read the secret garden one they may leak through.
