I just found a neat little calculator and thought it was fun! It predicted C at 5'11 by age 18. Her doctor actually told us the same a few weeks ago (told us to expect at least 5'10).

Wow! You guys must be tall?
LO isn't 2 yet, so I don't think it will work as well for him. He's already much bigger than either of us were at his age by now!

So there is a rule of thumb for double your LO's 2 year height and that will be his/her adult height... which for us would have been 5'10" (he was 2'11" at his 2 year appointment)
This predictor says 6'0"... very interesting!
We are short Asian people so 5'10" is tall already for our family.

@loveisstrange: whaaaat!! it says he'll be 5'7! omg. no.
I am 5'8 and DH is 6'0 - we're both average/tall. But J has always only been less than 25-30th percentile for height and weight.

Aw man, LO is only 16 months so we can't use it yet. Our doc is always so shocked when LO is still in the 50th% for height at each check up because I'm 5'7" and my husband is 6'6".

this predicts DD will be 5'8" at 18. I was hoping for 5'9, but 5'8 is good too!

E is in the 96%-tile at 1 year old. Everything I can find says she'll hit 5'10" at least, too!

LO was also at 96th % at 12m but has dropped to the 89th. We are honestly surprised she's even that tall... Dh barely stayed on the charts at that age (although I was around the 80th+%.)
She's still too young for that calculator though!

@2PeasinaPod: Not really! lol. Im 5'7 and DH is 5'11, both pretty average. We both have very tall siblings though.
@Raindrop: Ive heard that too. Doubling her height at 2 would put her at 6'1! lol
@blackbird: C has always run 97-100th percentile.

@loveisstrange, we can make our kids hang out and start a Tall Gang
Honestly, i'll probably put her in volleyball because I know that being SO tall can be an awkward thing for a kid, so I want her to excel in something where her height is an advantage.

I did a guesstimate of Ts height right now since he hasn't had his 2 yr visit and they are saying 5'7 and that seems about right.

According to that calculator, I ahold have been 5'9"
I'm only five feet tall!
