I bought two Britax Boulevard seats for our cars. My MIL wants to buy a seat too...just in case of an emergency. Do you know of any affordable seats that would be good for occasional use in Grandma's car?

eta: I'd advise against the Cosco Scenera...we have it and it's really a PITA to install.

Costco had a safety first car seat for $80 that my mom got for my son and its been great.

The safety 1st one at costco has great reviews.

@Thehistoryofus: I think I'll take ours out too. Putting her in rear facing is awkward enough..the extra support gets in the way!

@autumnlove: I'm gonna have my sister pick up a seat from Costco before we head out to CA! They're cheap and safety ratings aren't bad!
