LO has always LOVED bath time, and DH loves doing it with him. For the past week... he has acted like the water is burning lava. It was a part of his bedtime routine, but tonight we tried doing it at 4:30 instead to see if he was just getting over tired.. nope.
Anyone else had this happen? Advice? I HATE that DH is suffering through what used to be their happy dude time

My LO (she just turned 15 months) has done this off and on during the past couple of months . . . I have had to hold her during the entire bath--it makes getting her clean and washing her hair super fun . . . not!--any time I let go it was a total scream fest. I don't know what caused it . . . but I can tell you she is back to her normal happy bathing-fool self . . . for now.

I have no advice, but I can commiserate! Same thing is happening with my LO. She definitely does not enjoy baths as much anymore. Plus, if I go anywhere near her head with water, she flips out. Definitely let us (me) know if you figure something out!

Phase...sucky phase, but a phase! We went through this from 11 months til 13 months or so. Then it [passed and bathtime was fun again.

This started for us around 8-9 months and didn't totally end until she was well over a year. It got slightly better (i.e. only minimal screaming) for a week here or there, but it was typically awful and we tried everything: earlier, later, bubbles, toys, her old infant tub, showering with us, bathing with us, warmer, cooler, etc etc.
Honestly I think she just grew out of it, and having the summer with lots of pool time (which was never an issue).

Yep its a phase - it didn't happen with DS but did with DD - it lasted 3 weeks and then poof! She liked the bath again!

Ugh!! Phases phases phases. Tried bath early this morning and he wasn't thrilled but also wasn't screaming. Will try night bath again next week! Thanks all!
