It doesn't matter how much sleep I get, what I eat, how much I work out, I am always tired. I got between 7-8 hours last night and I am dragging today.
Anyone know something else to do/change?

What's your diet/exercise like? If I'm dehydrated I get tired and I find that I have more energy during awake hours and sleep better at night when I exercise regularly. Do you eat a lot of carbs/junk food? They can tire your body.
I'm not asking in a judgy way-I'm typing this while eating a cheeseburger and drinking a coke. We all need cheat days

@Smurfette: I am always tired, too. Honestly, only caffeine helps me. I want to start taking a multivitamin again, because I think the extra b-vitamins help with energy.
Are you going to bed at a reasonable hour? That's part of my problem, I'm a night owl and I go to bed at 1 most nights. Even though LO lets me sleep til 8 most mornings, it's not when I should be sleeping.
When I'm stressed, I also find myself feeling a lot more tired, too.

There was just a Time article on this! Exercise, water, clean desk at work and making sure you have enough iron among a few other things were all on the list.

Agree with @JessKas: about getting your iron checked.
You can also add a B complex supplement - that really helped me.

I definitely feel better on days/weeks when I exercise regularly, and don't eat too many empty carbs. Also, lots of water!
That being said, I also think I should not be as tired as I am--I get 7-8 hours. I kind of think I"m still making up my sleep debt from LO's first year of life

Supplements that can help with energy include iron, Vit D, and a Vit B complex. You may want to get your vitamin levels as well as your thyroid checked, though!

Bee was super exhausted all the time, to the point where I had to make her coffee every morning just to get her out of bed! She started Whole30 a few weeks ago though, and her energy levels have skyrocketed! It's been kind of amazing.
I also am doing Whole30 and it didn't really impact my day-to-day energy levels though.

I'm mega iron deficient and b12 deficient. Taking supplements (vitamin D as well) has helped, as well as amping up the protein in my diet.
And Starbucks. Lol

@Smurfette: I could have posted the same thing today! Well, except I'm not working out currently ...
But I am so freaking tired all the time. I was reading up on sleep today and one tip I always read is to have set bedtime and wake up times. Even on the weekends. The more regular your sleep schedule, the more rested you will be. Thinking of implementing it myself.

@babyjmama: I am working on losing weight, so min. junk food. Cutting back on carbs, eating more protein. I drink lots of water all day. I have one Diet Coke at lunch. I am sleeping much better since I started working out 5-6 times a week but I am still tired.
@Pepper: I am in bed by 9:30-10:00 every night. Get at 545 or 615, then weekends whenever R wakes me up.
@JessKas: @septca: @IRunForFun: @mamimami: I did have low iron when pregnant. Maybe I need to take the vitamins again

I've found that if I don't have any tv/computer/phone time about an hour before bed it helps me a lot. It was a really hard habit to break and I don't always stick to it but it does help! I go to bed early (8:30-10) most weeknights because I can't be over tired at work and still focus. Sometimes I nap in my car at lunch, it makes a world of difference when I feel like I can't keep my eyes open!

@babyjmama: an hour before bed is the only time I have to play on my phone and watch tv. By the time I get R to sleep, workout, pack my lunch for the next day, and make my dinner and eat it is 830
But I can try and cut it back some for sure.

I went to my general doctor to ask about this about 6 months ago and my blood tests showed I was slightly anemic and vitamin d deficient. I think the vitamin d really helped.

It sounds like you are doing everything right (lifestyle-wise), so I'd also suggest you get blood work done to check your thyroid and iron levels.
A few years ago I was always fatigued and I went to a naturopath and tried different supplements. Nothing worked and eventually I had blood work done and I went on thyroid medication.

@mrbee: that is interesting about mrsbee getting more energy - I wonder if it has to do with blood type? Someone recently told me their friend started eating for her blood type and her energy increased dramatically.

@Greentea: Could be! I didn't see an increase in day-to-day energy, and it could be because I'm a different blood type.
I did see a big increase in stamina/endurance during working out though... not sure if that was b/c of Whole30 or just because I finally got into decent shape.
