Fireworks kept me up late last night and now they're keeping me up again. My dog barks at every single one. Fortunately my LO is still sleeping or I'd be super pissed!
Are your neighbors making a ruckus or being respectful? I'm adding a poll for the heck of it!

I think I just got used to ruckus living in a college town so it doesn't bother me anymore. LO sleeps through it and unless someones right in front of our house the dogs stay quiet. But we moved last year so it's a much quieter town now, there were some firecrackers around 10 or 1030 but nothing anymore.

It's quiet right now, but I wouldn't say it's because our neighbors are respectful. They had no problems shooting off fireworks until well past midnight last night.

I would be so annoyed. Fireworks are only allowed on 4th of July in my area so I would be pissed.

Mine are shooting them off too... Bad news for them is that DH is a cop and is patrolling our area tonight. The baby got woken up (again) so I just sent a text to the po po to take care of it!

I'd totally turn the hose on them! Or ask my cop hubby to either go talk to them in his cop voice or call a cop friend who works tonight.
Sadly, I can't even hide behind a LO as my reason for my annoyance. I've become the cranky neighbor even though I'm not old yet.

I think it's annoying too. Fortunately, fireworks are against the rules in our neighborhood so we haven't had any noise issues.

I don't mind them SO much on the 4th but any other night (after 9, when LO goes down) they make me nuts.

Our neighbors were shooting them off well past midnight and my poor dog was freaking out. They are illegal in my entire state! It's one thing earlier in the evening but past midnight is truly obnoxious.

we heard them going off until 6 am yesterday 
like @Foodnerd81: they're illegal here! not that i haven't participated in a fair share of illegal firework activity, but all night long in a crowded neighborhood is too much.

I love fireworks, but I don't think they should be shot off in the city. Isn't that a fire hazard?

If it were any other weekend, 11:30 would be pushing it (I'd say 9:00-10:00 on a summer weekend night would be pretty acceptable), but since it's 4th of July weekend, I guess I would kind of expect it (if it's a crowded suburban/city neighborhood I'm not sure at all what the rules are).

I would let it slide. A party once in a while (esp. during a holiday weekend) is no big deal. Now if they were being obnoxious all the time then that might be a different story.

Around here, 11:00 is the noise cutoff for anything. So I'd say...obnoxious (but fun if you can see them and don't have little ones sleeping!)

Yeah our neighbors started setting off firecrackers and crap around the end of June. I kept telling DH we needed to get them a calendar.

Obnoxious. In our neighborhood, Fourth of July lasts a week before and after with fireworks almost every night. LO stirred last night, so it might have woken him up. During the Fourth at my parents, LO woke up thanks to them. I'll join you on the lawn yelling at the hooligans.
