I don't think we will be. She's only 14 months so not only will it be past her bedtime but also too loud for her I think. Maybe next year?
Will you be watching the fireworks with LO?

No fireworks this year. Maybe next year.. or maybe not until she's 4.

Maybe. We have a roof deck so we might take her with us to watch from there.

No - he's only 4 months, so he'll be going to bed at 7:30 like always!

i think we might. they start at 9pm, and if we let olive nap late, she should be ok to stay up past her bedtime. this will be charlie's first time seeing them!

Probably not. I've never really cared for fireworks anyways so who knows when we'll take him for the first time

he hates big noises and i think he's too young this year!

She's too young to go see them, but we have a view from the water behind our house, so she will see them without the crowds and noise.

Yes, to bring this thread back. He is 2 and he LOVES fireworks. "Boom Boom Boom". He first saw them last 4th of July from quite a distance and he was 1 year old. Then September at around 1 1/2 years old. It was the disney fireworks but from a few blocks away. He saw them again at a distance in November. Then in January we took him inside for the fireworks. He was in heaven.

I want to! I'm not sure where they are or where we'll go yet though... I think he would like them and though it's past bedtime - I think he would love to stay up.

Not this year. DD hates loud noises. We took her to a kids concert at the symphony and she covered her ears the whole time

We're going to try it. They're an hour after her bed time so it just depends. And I'm not a firework lover, LO takes after me with that kind of stuff, so I'm not counting on her liking them. We'll be in the back where we can get out quick.

We are staying at my in laws lake house, and a bunch of houses on the lake do huge displays. We always sit on the beach or go out in the boat and watch with all the neighbors, so we'll keep him up for it since it'll be loud anyways. I hope he likes it!

Nope, it's past her bedtime. I don't think she would have a problem with them, though.

Nope we tried testing the waters the other night and he was hysterical from the noise. Poor baby

we are going to try. we are ok with letting lo miss his bedtime for special occasions. what's one or two nights in the grand scheme of things?

I'm hoping she'll take a late nap... If that works, then we may take her in the stroller to watch them from a distance. I'll have to see how she's doing. Loud noises don't seem to bother her and she's pretty adaptable, so she might enjoy it. If she's tired or scared that we'll go home.
