If you had an anterior placenta the first time around did you also have one the second time around?

@matador84: I had one with my first - no issue except I think I felt movement later and am curious if that will be the case this time!

@mrskc: interesting! I felt it at 20 last time but not consistently until 22/3 wks. I'm getting greedy I want to feel early movement this time but don't knew if I have an anterior placenta yet / it's not fully formed at this point

Following. I had an anterior placenta with my first and felt kicks at 19+1. I'd like to feel how different the kicks feel with a posterior placenta (is that what it's called? Opposite of anterior)

nope, i had an anterior the first time, posterior the second time. i definitely felt movement earlier the second time, but it might've been because i knew what to look for this time? the movement is definitely stronger this time. i can feel more wiggles as opposed to just kicks and punches

Nope! AP with #1, but not with #2. His positioning was entirely different, and I felt him kick about a month sooner. Holy cow was carrying him uncomfortable! I wished for that AP, every movement and jab made me grit my teeth!

I had with M but not this one. I thought I did again because I still didn't feel regular movements till later on.

I had anterior with both but felt movement much earlier with my 2nd pregnancy. Maybe I just knew what I was feeling earlier?

Yep! Didn't feel movement until 21-22wks with my first but waaaaay earlier with my 2nd - 15?ish weeks. But my 2nd is also way more active in general anyways so I don't know if that makes a difference.

I had an AP with baby 1 and Fundal this time. Both mean muted movement apparently! Though I do feel this one sooner.

Verdict - anterior last time, posterior this time.

This was one of my questions for my OB visit on Monday! I felt kicks and movement before 20 weeks with pregnancy #1 so that wasn't an issue with me but I did have a retained placenta (which was really scary) and always worried that they were somehow related.
