I need to scrub my shower, clean out the inside of my microwave, and sort/shred mail. Avoiding it all!

We have this bench by our entryway. I have a bad habit of throwing stuff I don't want to look at in there. Now it's full to overflowing and we've been talking about cleaning it out for months…. hasn't happened yet. haha

@LovelyPlum: I hate scrubbing the shower too! Now I actually would bring the cleaning supplies and scrub it after I shower one night!
These days I've been trying to clean a little bit every night so I don't have so many cleaning chores piled up on the weekend.

@matador84: that's how it always starts for me. I'm a furniture rearranging junkie-I find it cathartic. But it always leads to bigger projects.
@Dandelion: yep, it's the effort that's killing me.
@snowjewelz: OK, so here's my thing about the shower. It's super easy to do when you're in there, just take a rag and scrub, then you can get clean afterwards. BUT, I like hot showers, and I don't want to have to shower after I do it with all of the fumes. And I don't like doing it when I get out, because then I feel dirty again. It's a vicious cycle.
@avivoca: oh yeah, I've got two loads of laundry to fold, too...

@LovelyPlum: Hahah yeah. Well I use baking soda (bar keepers friend), so it's not smelly. I just sprinkle all over the tub, scrub, rinse & rinse my feet. Then maybe once a month I bleach the tub. I def would not stay in there if I'm using anything that can damage my skin. Totally agree that it's a viscous cycle

Since we're planning on selling our house pretty soon, I have a huge list of things to do that I can't avoid. However, I've been avoiding cleaning out the closet for months! I just don't know where to start and I know that I won't want to get rid of anything, even if I haven't used it in forever.

Folding laundry and cleaning out of my closet. I'm putting the latter off until next week, when E's in daycare, so I can sit and sob over finally getting rid of all my pre-pregnancy clothes that I don't have a chance in hell of every fitting in again and my maternity clothes that have been taking up room on the off chance that D decides he wants a second LO.

Finishing the laundry, and putting away the gifts/gift bags from LO's dedication this weekend. After hosting 35 people yesterday, I just want to sleeeeeep.

Cleaning out DS's clothes and boxing up the small ones, scrubbing our shower/bath tub, cleaning the upstairs bathroom, and washing the blinds and base boards.
However, I'm currently working on laundry so at least there's that!

We have a small half bedroom that has been filled with all the junk we don't know what to do with since we moved in...6 months ago. Clearly I'm an expert avoider.
