My lo is 11 months old and screams anytime she's in the car seat for more than 15 minutes. We just switched to a convertible car seat (Chicco Nextfit), but it hasn't really helped. We ordered a Clek too to see if sitting up higher will help, but we haven't gotten it yet.
If your lo hated the car seat, what helped? New car seat? Toys? Time? Wine (for mama)?

We bought a portable noise machine, and always put his favourite toy in the seat with him. No idea it that helps. Our son has always been a good traveller, but just doesn't like getting strapped in.

Mine hated it for the first several months, but relaxed about it around 5 months. It was just time for us- but at 11 months I guess he's had time. Can you adjust the angle at all? I doubt it would make a big difference though.

Mine hated it at first too but got used to it. She still can't just sit there and entertain herself.. We sing, we play with toys, I usually give her "special" non-toy items to play with, eve a napkin she can shred! Or I feed her snacks. If it's REALLY bad, I'll let her watch a video on my phone. She's almost 12 months.
