Meeeee!!!!!!! This has been my thought process for the last couple weeks and we aren't ttc yet!

Yep, these are all of my fears for #2.

Honestly, I have so much anxiety over this that I waver on even wanting to try for #2. I know I want a bigger family but I'm scared of how it will all work out.

I worry about complications after my c-section. The first time around it was easy to say I was hoping for a smooth unmedicated birth, but now a second c-section terrifies me and also a vbac terrifies me!

I also worry about time management with two kids

Mostly I'm just worried about being on bed rest again.

I worry about TTC again with DH traveling
Will it be too soon for R and adjusting to a sibling
How I will handle no sleep again
Solo parenting 2 LOs

I'm worried about all that! Plus, solo parenting when DH works, how to handle a toddler with morning sickness, how to figure lit sleep schedules, how to figure out 2 kids sharing a room, beinh away from LO for the first time ever while I'm in the hospital. how LO will really feel about not being an only child anymore...I want him to feel just as loved, just so many worries!

I mainly just worry about sleep and the logistics of taking care of two when DH is on nights.

Luckily, this second pregnancy has been pretty easy so far. Prior to getting pregnant, I did worry about that.

@mrsjyw: Ditto. To everything you said above. These are all my fears for sure with a couple more added:

1. That new LO will have the same medical issues at DD & we will have to watch him/her suffer too, although I will be much more assertive with the 2nd one & take straight to specialist.

2. Financial costs, we are fine moneywise, but of course it's an added cost to the budget with additional daycare, food, ect.!

3. Space issues in our house, 4 people + 1 furbaby in our current house could be a tight fit.

4. Knowing if this is our last child or not, or if if we will agree (right now I want 2 he wants 3?)

5. Having this next one be my potentially my last pregnancy, it seems so sad and it's not even here yet!

6. Having a tough pregnancy again, I was miserable for the first 18+ weeks, and the last 6 weeks...I hope it's easier because I don't' want to be a sick mess in my last months with just DD.

Yes very nervous about all of this but also excited for my son to have a sibling to share his childhood with. My mother said the first six months can be rough but after that they start to interact and entertain each other and it can be reat special. I hope he isn't too jealous because he will be over 2 years old when his sib comes. I also hope that my husband won't give me or my son a hard time if he wants to continue to nurse through my pregnancy and beyond. If I am able to I would love to do so and I feel like it would make me feel less bad for our son. My husband has already been really pushing for me to wean our 16 month old and I afternoon weaned him as a compromise. I hope it won't be an issue.

I also worry about the stress of TTC every month with my husband particularly if this next baby takes a while. I hate giving the feeling that he is a stud horse who has to DTD on demand.

Everything you said!! Plus I solo most of the week and LO#1 has been having nap issues for two months and I'm afraid it won't settle down in time for LO#2's arrival in March. Plus worrying about labor (first one was super easy, praying for the same) and breastfeeding with a 16 month old who is used to having all my attention.

Yesssss. We aren't even close to ttc yet and I'm already unsure about how I'll handle two at once. Also, I worry about DS not getting enough attention or not spending enough time with him as an only child. I also have no idea how I'll handle being pregnant and feeling like crap while taking care of DS!

Yup, and we haven't even decided to. To keep sane, we literally wrote down a date when we'll think about it -- not start TTC, just think about it

But these are my worries and what makes me second guess IF we even want to try for another:

1. Higher chances for genetic defects because of my age.
2. Can I even handle 2?
3. What if they don't get along?
4. Pregnancy with a toddler.
5. Pregnancy in general. I'm older, will it be worse?
6. Birth and all the possible complications that can occur.
7. Having zero free time.
8. Getting used to being completely sleep deprived again.
9. Newborn days!

I didn't. I was too busy with my then 2 y.o. that I hardly had time to think how crazy it would be. I love the really good days though. Like today my youngest wanted to give his big brother a hug and I saw that and had to go in for a group hug. It was so sweet!

All of the above. It's a lot more intimidating for me...I almost hope we don't TTC and we just have an 'oops' so we can't plan for the fears.
