I think Looch and I are the only other non-America-located ones I've seen. (I was going to just say non-American, but that wouldn't be correct since I am American... Whatever, you know what I mean)

I'm originally from Ottawa, ON... but moved from home and am in the States now. That said, I'll always be Canadian first and I'm hoping one day I can convince DH to move back to the great white north!

I am really surprised there aren't more Canadians. I wonder why...

Give it time, i don't think everyone who's registered is on much yet since the site is still in Beta testing.
I'm thinking I may offer invites on Facebook to my mommy friends. that may up the Canadian content, maybe we all do the same?

Yay!!! So many more Canadians. I remember when I blogged on weddingbee there were rarely any Canadians. (we could count them on 10 fingers) so I'm already exited we have more here and it's beta

Question for you Canadian Mommies, any good online retailers that you use for baby stuff. I keep an eye on Babysteals.com because they ship to Canada, but have had trouble finding too many places that are in Canada or ship to Canada.

Just outside of Windsor, ON waaaaaaay down at the bottom of Ontario

@MsMini: I have a hard time finding sales sites as well. I think it sucks for us because we are great spenders
I'll do some research to see if I can find any.
I know beyond the rack is canadian but they don't have alot of baby stuff on their.
I will make it my mission

@blushink: I am all over beyond the rack as well, but you are right, they are short on baby stuff. I am on Hautelook as well, and wether they ship to Canada is hit or miss depending on the item, and they aren't super heavy on the baby stuff either (though they get a few baby sales per week it seems).

I'm loving how many fellow Canucks there are here! It seems like more than on Weddingbee, but maybe that's just me.

Hey! Im from Toronto too.
Question, since I have been pregnant and reading all these baby blogs, ive been hearing that in the US, they dont have a year maternity leave. Is that right?
pomegranate / 3604 posts
@mom2b2agirl: That's correct. (We don't have a year maternity leave either, when you really look at it. We have 17 weeks and then 35 weeks either parent can take).
From what I've heard, most women consider themselves lucky if they get 6 weeks paid or partially paid. (Personally, I couldn't IMAGINE leaving a 6-week old and going back to work. That's too young!)

Another Canadian here! Live in London, Ontario, where we are in the middle of a serious blizzard at the moment!
