I am about to make a strawberry banana smoothie I found on Pinterest and as I was getting everything out, I remember I have some white chocolate chips. Can I add those to the smoothie or will it mess up the consistency? Thanks!

Couldn't hurt to try! I'd follow the recipe first, taste, then add a few chips, taste, and so on until you get it how you like it! Yum!

Depending how good your blender is, it might not blend smooth and the chocolate pieces could be sort of gritty, especially if you are using frozen fruit or ice. But that wouldn't be the end of the world!
My blender kind of sucks so I'm sure it wouldn't break up the chips that great, but yours could be a lot better.

You would want to melt them and then temper it-- if you add the melted chocolate all at once to something cold it will sieze.

I would tend to agree with @Foodnerd81 - my blender isn't great and I think you would end up with gritty check late pieces unless you have a good blender. If you got them soft and melty first I bet it would be the bomb!
Let us know how it comes out!
