I don't even eat twinkies, but every once in a blue moon I crave them.
I've been thinking about twinkies all stinking day.
Sad my kids will never get to experience (remember the taste of) Hostess goodness!!
OMG! DH's bff is coming over right now and he's gonna pick up some twinkies for me. He just texted saying they're sold out at Publix!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
He's gonna try Target for me.

Same here, I eat a Twinkie every few years but I'm sad when iconic brands go through trouble. I also feel bad for the 18,500 workers!

I don't really like Twinkies so no not really that sad.
There are other snacks that they make that are good (that I can't think of).
Though, it is sad to see Wonder Bread disappear. I remember my mom getting Wonder Bread for us.
If Entenmann's or Taskycake goes out of business, I would be devastated.

I think it is sad that the CEO walked away with his pockets full while many people lost their jobs, benefits and pensions. I've never been a Twinkie fan.

Not really too sad... All these bakeries and cupcake places nowadays like to create their own fancy versions of the old school stuff, so I prefer those anyway. Red velvet twinkies, ding dong cupcakes, etc...

I've always thought the Hostess, Little Debbie, and other similar brands were gross. DH had never had a twinkie, and I described it to him as sweetened lard inside a sponge... he tasted one and agreed.
It's so overly processed and chemical filled... to me it's like fake food...

I am just nostalgic about them from my childhood. I wouldn't eat their products now, but I am sure someone will take over the recipes and the shelves will get restocked!

Not really. My ILs had a craving for hostess cupcakes and they bought it when they were up to visit. We made them throw the box out. It's SO bad for you and they already have high cholesterol!!
