We will be nexr year. My second is just two months old and my period didn't show up until 15 months pp last time. I turned 35 in July, will probably be 36 when we TTC.

Good luck! LO 2 was 19 months when I got my BFP at 35.5. LO 3 was born two months after I turned 36.

I was but got my BFP already. I'm 37 and it took me the same amount of time to get pregnant as it did with 1 and 2. I was 33 for #1 and 35 for #2.

I'm struggling with this. I thought we were done at 2 and I just turned 35 last month. Now I'm considering a third. LO2 will be born this February and I'll be halfway through 35 so I may only consider LO3 when I'm 36 or 37.

So, I was really concerned about this, but I learned from my doctor, that AMA in Europe is actually 40! I was 35 when my son was born and he for sure told us not to wait around if we wanted a second child (which we didn't) but I don't buy into this sudden decline.

I'm not TTC but I'm AMA. Doesn't seem to be any different than past pregnancies.

@looch: yeah my doctor told me she sees no reason why I should have any concern about being over 35 and TTC. The plus side is we will find out the gender early with the blood test.

Yes, we will be, but not by choice. We've been trying for #2 for 2 years and will be doing IVF in November. If we are successful, the baby would be born after I turn 35 in May. Good luck!

Going to start trying for #3 just short of my 35th birthday, so yes. Not too concerned about the pregnancy, but I really want to be DONE with newborns and sleep deprivation before I get much older. It's just a personal thing for me, though I'm sure there are plenty of "older" women who do just fine.

I was 34 when TTC. Just turned 35 last week and currently 25 weeks pregnant with #2. Then shop is closed!!!

I should be 32/33 with #2 and 35/36 with #3 ... and maybe a 4th???

Like @NorthStar, I'm in the IVF (#1) club. Despite my age (39), we need IVF for severe male factor infertility. Starting in my early 30s, I quizzed my MDs at each annual exam and they said I had plenty of time (and I lived in Europe where 40+ is definitely more the "older mom" benchmark)...but come to find out DH has some issues making swimmers which complicates things.

I recently turned 37 and we're TTC #2. First one was conceived when I was 34 and born when I was 35. There are a number of women in my social circles and in my family who had their first in their mid-30s, so post-30 TTC seems like the norm to me!

Possibly, but it won't be for a while. Right now we are still undecided about a second, but we do feel pretty sure that if we do decide to go for it we want to wait until DS is at least 3 or 4. At that point I will be 35 or 36.

I was AMA for both pregnancies. First time I was 35 and had no trouble conceiving. This time I was 37 when TTC and I actually had to go the fertility treatment route because my egg quality declined rapidly. More than one doctor said it was due to age. I had low AMH and evidence of poor egg quality. I'm not saying it happens to everyone at all, just giving you my experience. Eventually, I did get pregnant with clomid. We were just about to start IVF!

@winniebee: I was just thinking about this the other day. What if you're stil 34 when you get pregnant but turn 35 before delivering? Does the pregnancy still go into the AMA/high risk category? I'm 33 1/2 now and there's a good chance I'll be 35+ when and if we have s third.
