Since I got married, four friends have worn my veil at their wedding. It had become the community veil if you will. A couple years ago a very close friend of mine was getting married and was planning to wear it. But, I couldn't find it. Anywhere. I looked everywhere, closets, attic, with my wedding dress, random boxes of storage with no luck. I also checked with the girl who had worn it last and she was certain she'd given it back. Anyhow, that friend ended up buying a veil for her wedding but the disappearance of it had remained a mystery ever since. I just couldn't understand where could be!
Anyhow, that friend called today to tell me that she found it, in her closet while packing to move. It gave us a good laugh, and, now it can be put back into rotation. Now, if DH's wedding ring that went missing about three years ago would turn up, I'd be a happy girl!

Anyone else have something you'd search for randomly turn up years later after you had written it off as forever lost?
