Some of my students come from countries where snow doesn't exist and when they land in Canada and experience their first winter, they are either shocked and/or miserable.
Have any of you never experience snow?

I've never lived in snow and didn't see it until I was in 6th grade. I didn't experience it actually snowing until 12th grade. But I've been skiing once and snowboarding 4 times. I don't know anything about living in it. I just know dressing in that many layers makes it hard to go pee.

I didn't really experience snow until I moved to Pennsylvania when I was 20. Well, at least not that I remember--there was a snowstorm that hit San Antonio when I was less than a year old, but I don't count that. I lived in TX and LA.

I've lived in Florida my whole life. We used to go skiing every year growing up. I liked snow for a week..... But no way would I want to live in it.

I have only seen it about 3x in my life! It happened when I was in 3rd grade (Louisiana) and we got forever off from school bc the buses did not have tires equipped for snow!
I like seasons and getting to wear cute winter boots/coats, but I am okay with not living somewhere that it gets cold enough to snow!

South Texas girl here. I've never seen actual snow... just slush & I can count on one hand and the amount of hours that's actually happened! I'm not opposed to moving somewhere with snowy weather but at the same time I'm not jumping up & down hoping for it. lol

I live in coastal NC and I've seen snow a handful of times in my life. When it snows here, schools close and everything shuts down for less than an inch!

I have lived in places where it snows, but not enough to call it a snowy climate.

HA, I wish... It's March 24th and we still have snow on the ground and hit a nice, balmy 34 degrees today...

So funny to read this. I couldn't live in a climate with no snow. I did live in FL from Dec to Apr one year and missed winter (in Ontario) completely and it was SO weird. Everyone down there always said to us "all you talk about is the weather". Ha, yes, because ours changes! I love the distinct seasons!

Never. I've always lived in sunny CA, not an area that snows. I've visited snow, but I've never had to live with it.

Born and raised in Dallas TX. Rarely any snow and the "snow" we MIGHT get once a year (If we are SUPER lucky) is actually just sleet we cancel school for and attempt to make muddy snowmen with. lol. I would seriously love to live in a snowy climate! Mr. Hedgie and I both dream of moving to MI one day... we shall see. We would love to actually have those things people call "White Christmas" and warm fireplaces rather than pool parties on Christmas day. (Seriously. WE have done that on more than one occasion just because of the absurdity of the fact that we COULD)

Me! I saw snow for the first time in my life at Christmas time 2011, when we were visiting my ILs in CO. Australia and New Zealand just doesn't get snow!

@Mrs Hedgehog: Christmas on the beach is a typical thing in NZ. I love it!
