Hi,
I was shopping online for a stroller and came across a few from China. They were all unbranded/generic. The sellers have good reviews, but I am a bit hesitant to order one because I don't know anyone has one.

If you ask about these sellers on the Facebook group Stroller Queen Stroller Swap they will basically tell you the strollers are garbage, that is IF you actually receive one. Many receive a pack of staples or crap and then you have to get a refund via eBay. Everyone (except the seller) loses, including you and eBay.
Do you have a budget in mind and any specific needs? Maybe we can recommend one for you here. -
@Littlebit7: Thanks for the tips. I couldn't find any info about them online. I was looking at the uppababy vista and came across these. I don't want to spend $800-$900 for a stroller, but we will if we can't find something comparable. Our babies tend to bigger and taller than the average baby. We like the uppababy because it seems sturdy and easy to push.

Ah gotcha. Yeah I mean people looooove their vistas that's for sure, unless you'll be getting it in and out of the car often. The Cruz is pretty comparable to the vista and the seat is the same; you could get almost everything but at a lower
price point. Unless you are needing a double? -
@Littlebit7: We will probably go to the store again to test out the cruz. I know that my husband really liked the vista.

@FancyGem: Have you checked out consigment sales or craigslist ads for used strollers? There always someone selling their stroller and buying used is the way to go instead of paying retail.
You can even check out local FB mommy groups to see if anyone local to you is selling it.

I agree with @bluestriped bee: on trying to find a used stroller. The higher end strollers are such good quality that they hold up really well for resale. I got our City Mini GT with several accessories for about 1/3 of retail. It had very minor scratches but was otherwise in perfect condition. I was stalking CL and FB groups for a few months because if something came up it went fast!

yes a definitely 2nd the recommendation for checking out facebook BST pages and local craigslist.... that's how I got all three of our strollers for about 1/3 of the original price.

Wow, I didn't realize that this was a thing! Just wanted to chime in because you actually can find good deals on strollers on Ebay, but I'd stick with sellers in North America. I've gotten 3 strollers on Ebay (a city mini GT, a britax b-agile double, and a valco snap4). They have all been great and saved me a ton over normal retail or even normal sale prices. Mine were all new but had dented boxes or were returns. I've also gotten great deals on Black Friday.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I found one on craigslist. If that one falls thru I will order on Ebay. It's still less expensive than retail.

@FancyGem: I ordered a walker thing from China through ebay. My mom insisted on it because of the style of it. I assume that it does NOT meet any US standards. Its very very much a Chinese product. It almost seems unsafe, but I'm sure its totally fine which is why we continue to let my girl use it at my mom's house. It took over a month to be shipped to us. All instructions in Chinese. Based on this, I would not be comfortable buying a stroller from China. I'd for sure look at a consignment shop. I have the Uppababy Cruz. I absolutely love it. I contemplated getting the Vista in case I needed it to be a double, but was confident I wouldn't need a double any time soon. Opps. Surprise pregnancy and I'm already having to get rid of the Cruz.

@agold: We aren't going to order from China, but we are looking for second hand strollers and checking eBay.
