@Autumnmama79: I did! I had it from weeks 15-18 I think. I really liked having it. It gave me piece of mind between my appointments and until I felt distinct movement which wasn't until 20 weeks. I did tell myself I would only use it once a week and that didn't happen because it was addictive...but once you find it and listen to it for a second you turn it off so I don't think that's a big deal. I would put a timer on my phone sometimes so I knew I wasn't searching for it or using the Doppler for about much longer than 5 minutes, always under 10. But non-stress tests when you get them are 20 minutes hooked up to a monitor like a Doppler and people get those fairly regularly. People worry about not being able to find the heartbeat, so if it is a second or third pregnancy it should be easier and I would wait until your doctor or midwife has been able to find it at least for a second with their Doppler. Since mine is my first my baby was always pretty low, but when I told my friend to make sure she tried really low when looking for it she said hers was actually up higher because it is her second pregnancy.

There was maybe one time it took a bit longer to find it, but since I had heard it recently I wasn't very worried and I went back a bit later, relaxed, and tried again.

I have the Sonoline B - I got it from eBay for my first pregnancy, and I found it really reassuring. Just remember that not hearing anything early on is not a bad sign. I never heard my babies before 12 weeks.

My mom gave me a Sonoline B. I knew from an earlier appointment that I have an anterior placenta and it might be harder to find, so I didn't panic when I couldn't. I used it a lot between 12-20 weeks or so. Evan loved it...every night after his bath he wanted to put a diaper on and then "Listen to baby sister!" As soon as I found it he'd exclaim "There she is!" So cute.

My cousin loaned me her sonoline b, and I loved it. I never had issues finding the heartbeat. I used it up until movement got really consistent, maybe 20 weeks? It was reassuring after 2 m/c's. That being said, after losing a baby with a perfect heart but severe birth defects, I didn't bother for my next pregnancy. It couldn't reassure me anymore. But I would recommend it as long as you won't panic if it takes time to find it.
