Did it help?
I only had one membrane strip with my first pregnancy and still had to be induced a few days later, but I did lose my MP.
Just wondering if having it done a couple/multiple times earlier in the pregnancy helped you go into labor sooner?

I had it done 3x with my second baby and still had to be induced at 42 weeks.

Started around 36/37 weeks, and went into labor at 39 weeks. The sweep at 39 weeks sent me into labor.

Midwives wouldn't do it before 40w. I got one at 40+2 and one at 40+5, went into labour about 6 hours after the second one. I doubt anything would have happened at 36/37/38/39 weeks.

My doc said it only does anything if you're dilated a bit and your body is actually ready to go into labor.

@PrincessBaby: Yeah, it totally sucked. I was even 4cm dilated and no dice.
I was a sad emotional very pregnant lady.
I hope it works out better for you if you go that way!

My OB won't do it until week 39. She says if it does work, it will within 48 hours. I was induced at 41 weeks

@Pepper: What a lovely story!!!
@Rainbow Sprinkles: @coopsmama: I'm only 30 weeks in a few days. So I'm just daydreaming here....But I won't read too much into it based on my first experience, but man it would be tough to be cramping and spotting and losing disgusting mucous bits for weeks and not going into labor. But whatevs...I'll try it and see.

Most docs won't do it before 39 weeks because they don't want to induce an early baby!
