Looks like we got 12 inches with blizzard conditions and gale wind warnings 🙄 combined with below zero temps. Kids were already off school last week, another snow day today, and I think school will be closed wed or Thur for the temperature. Anyone else?? Save me! Send wine

We had a snow storm yesterday and it’s still really windy. However busses will not be cancelled until it reaches -45. Were only at -30. 🤷♀️

Not yet, but we’re supposed to get 6” this afternoon, and we got 4” yesterday, so it’s adding up. It is -30, though, which I could do without. I’m not sure where they draw the line - they cancelled buses last week when it was -40 but not today - but I don’t think they’ll send the kids outside.

I don't live in an area that gets that much snow, but I want to say -45 F is when block heaters and anti gel treatments stop working in diesels... So maybe that's why they chose that as their cut off.
and that just sounds torturous

yeah. We got around 6" last night, but the TV news scared everyone into their homes, so my commute was actually pretty good. Starting tomorrow we are going to have -50 wind chills though for a few days. Not looking forward to that....

We are expected to get up to 40cm tonight
3 snow days last week. I bet tomorrow will be another.

@Mrs. Champagne: I can’t take it! I need the schools to start being open! And it’s going to cause a problem with us not having enough days if it keeps up. I’m actually wondering if school will be open even with the windchill because they need a certain amount of days
