I asked my IT dept for another monitor earlier this week, it was installed when I came in today! Cool!
I like it but I've only had it for a day and my eyes are so tired!
I thought I was going to be so productive today but I kept having to take breaks.
Anyone else use dual monitors at work? Or at home?
Is this something my eyes will get used to?

I do! I never thought about the screens making my eyes tired, I just thought it was work!

I have dual monitors at work! I love it so much... I kind of want 3 now - hahaha! My eyes don't get tired from it though.

i do too. it makes me so much more productive so i don't have to keep alt-tabbing through all the windows if i'm using two applications at once. i don't think i could ever go back to using just one!

@MsLipGloss: The sun came out today in Seattle (which is rare). I was wondering why my eyes felt so fuzzy. I thought it was because of the sun. (Haha, it's a running joke in Seattle that we never get used to seeing the sun.)
I think it is the monitors because I was trying to get back to work and I just couldn't. I could feel it in my eyeballs. Haha.
ETA: Maybe it's Friday and it's my body telling me I should go home.

My husband has dual monitors at work and home. He drilled the monitor holder into his desk at home. It's an old desk since before I met him, so I didn't care too much about it. He recently raised them up a bit so he wouldn't slouch.
I have a laptop at work.

Yep, everyone in our office has dual monitors. I much prefer them over single ones. I don't know how I ever survived with only one! Using my laptop sometimes drives me crazy!

I absolutely love my dual monitors at work and I'm actually getting a third soon. I work with data, so it's really nice to open one spreadsheet on one computer and open another on the other. I never had an issue with my eyes, but I'm sure yours will get used to it after a few days.

Yes! I have 2 at home and at work. Maybe that is why my eyes are tired!

I have dual monitors at home and absolutely love it. Makes multitasking much easier. I don't toggle back and forth between both monitors that often so it's not too difficult on the eyes.

Yup, I had dual monitors at work and loved it!! So much easier to multitask and it's great not having to close windows. I wanted a similar set up at home, but we have a huge monitor (like 23 inches or something) so it's just as good.

When I was working, I had 3. One for outlook that was ALWAYS up, another for our cloud program, and one for excel. So much easier and more productive that way.
