I didn't vote because my LO wasn't breech--just chiming in to say that if you end up with a planned c-section (no laboring prior) your recovery might be a breeze. I had a c-section with no laboring beforehand and my recovery, even with the stress of a NICU baby, was very easy. Also chiming in to say good luck in whatever you decide, can't wait to "meet" your little girl!

I remember these agonizing questions. Mine was transverse for awhile, flipped head down just before the c section, then flipped again right after the c section date passed and then AGAIN for a final regular head down birth at 41 weeks. Oh what a flexible baby I had! I didn't do any ECV, just homegrown old wives tale stuff and prayer!

My second was transverse until nearly the end of pregnancy. An ECV was discussed, but he flipped in time. My chronic hypertension lead to the scheduling of an induction which didn't happen because he arrived two days ahead of it.

@lovehoneybee: DD1 was a breech baby and I had a great C section experience and recovery. I am hoping and praying for the same experience. This baby DD2 is currently transverse but I would have elected for a repeat C section regardless.

@lovehoneybee: My daughter was head down and flipped breach at 38.5 weeks so anything is possible. She was frank breech (butt down) and firmly wedged in my pelvis at 39 weeks so I had a scheduled c-section. They did an ultrasound right before to confirm she was still breech.

Hugs mama. My daughter never flipped. I had the c-section and it was a fabulous experience actually, I was very scared but everyone was great and I got to do skin-to-skin while they stitched me up (if you want that you have to ask for it though, but on both my surgeries they obliged). I was sat up and feeling great really quickly. My second wasn't quite as easy recovery but that is because I birthed an elephant
I found both times that the staff in the OR were amazing and did everything they could do keep me calm. I also think a planned c-section is a way different experience to the emergency sections that we hear a lot about on these boards.
