I have always loved Bla Bla dolls, but I kind of forgot about them, and the other day I saw a new one that I decided to order for LO. I can't wait for it to come in!
However, they're a higher end "doll" and I wonder if they're hyped by parents and are trendy (or maybe yuppy?), or if kids really do love them?

Aww. So cute. I had never heard of Bla Bla dolls until someone mentioned them on HB.
I've thought about getting my LOs one but decided against it. My daughter has too many stuffed animals.

These dolls look like voo-doo dolls to me, hehe. I am very interested to see the responses (as to whether or not kids are into them).
I feel like they make great keepsakes though, even if the child doesn't get attached to them.

I am oogling Theo the cat and have been for some time. Baby isn't due until May, and I feel like I can;t justify spending that kind of $ on a doll I don't even know he'd like. The little cat rattle is only $20, so I may get that but I WANT THEO!!

They're cute I guess but not worth the $$ IMO. DS doesn't like stuffed animals (he pooped on his bear soooo yeah...) so they're a waste of money.

My SIL got my daughter one for Christmas, and it is one of three toys she really loves (the other two are Sophie and a giant Chewbaca doll). She sleep with her and drags her all over the house. I wouldn't have originally spent the money myself, but I'm considering getting another one now that I see how much she loves it. Perhaps for her bday.

I never heard of them before Hellobee. They're cute, but honestly I've seen dolls just as cute and cuter for cheaper! I don't think they are worth the price tag. I think LO would like it but not anymore than she loves her dolls that cost way less.

I think it is more the parents. I don't think I could ever spend that much on a doll/stuffed animal. I have seen equally cute sock animals and whatnot for much less money - I can't imagine that it would make a big difference to my LO which "brand" it is.

@rawrasaur: Great minds! I was actually browsing Etsy & Pinterest for a sock animal/cloth doll for LO and saw some really cute things that rival the Bla Bla dolls at a lower cost.

We got sock monkey as a gift--it has a very similar size and texture as those dolls. Surprisingly LO loved it 3-10 mos old!

we have 3 that i got as a gift but the kids never really play with them. although i do leave them on a shelf more as decoration. they don't really play with dolls that much in general though.

I wanted a blah blah doll, but my parents ended up getting LO this one from Paris. She kinda plays with him but doesn't LOVE him.

He has a few that I've collected since I was pregnant with the random 20% off deals they do every once and a while. But he actually really loves them. He sleeps with the boy owl and boy squirrel. I think he thinks they're the perfect size for squeezing and they are really squishy.

I like them but can't pull the trigger on buying one, they're too expensive. Lo has a sock monkey she got for Christmas from her Dad she likes okay. She isn't attached to anything yet, though.

i think they're overpriced and a parent fad. i think kids get attached to any which toys that we bring around them. that said, if you can afford it, like it, and your LO loves them - why not?

I never heard of them before the other day on HB. I agree that most are creepy and I would rather apply the money towards a Waldorf type doll. I'm sure if you were good with some thread and crochet or knitting needles you could DIY your own Bla Bla inspired doll!

I got K one and my sister bought her one too. Honestly I Love them. They look really nice and seem nice enough to keep long term, if only just for decor even. Obv K is still too little to like any toy yet, but my GF came over one day and was saying how her son fell in LOVE with one of the Bla Bla dolls at a store and how she thinks she might just have to buy one for him. He's 7 months. Of course they can get attached and love any toy, even a free one, so I think it's more a parent preference thing. Either way, I'm sure H will love her Prudence!

I like them, but I'm not going to pay that much for a stuffed animal. Especially since LO has repeatedly shown that she doesn't get attached to any object.

We got rattles as a shower gift and they are the ones I leave to play in the car. I like them because they are lightweight so even when they were small they could still hold them. It melts my heart when I look in the rearview and my daughter is holding hers and napping. Just too cute!

I think it looks like a zoodo doll. I think they are super overpriced and I could find something similar on Etsy for less $.
