What I mean is...do they get positive gradually or are they ka-POW positive? This isn't really about reading them, because I get that, but I don't know if these blank white sticks are par for the course, or if I should be expecting a faint line getting darker and darker. (I'm only testing once a day in the afternoon.)
Am I weird to be secretly relieved that it isn't positive yet so I can get some rest?

Mine fade in and out but I also have ovulation issues so I'm all messed up.

Depends on the person, they can be! Medicated cycles, mine are BAM! Positive all the sudden.

I was afraid you guys would say that.
My cycles used to be regular (although that does not mean I ovulated regularly, because I never tracked that) but not since E. I had to hormonally drive my body into having my first postpartum AF by taking regular OCPs for a month. This was when E was nearly 10 months and I pretty much have never been able to EBF him. This chicken is worried that she's not laying any eggs. I'm not "technically" supposed to ovulate until Saturday or Sunday based on cycle length, so I'm hoping I'll have a positive OPK tomorrow or Saturday.

@Espion: Mine faded in and faded out-- except the month I got a bfp and I never actually got a positive that month so there's always hope!

Mine keep getting a little darker each day, but then on the actually positive day it's WAY darker than the day before.

Mine was gradual, and I could def tell when it was 100% positive.

For me it depends on the brand. Wondfo there's a little bit of the fade in/out. Babi it's just almost stark white until the positive, then back to white again.

Mine always got progressively darker until positive...and then on a couple of occasions stayed dark (positive) for several days. Not sure what that meant.

Mine (wondfos) always have a faint line (CD11 on) and they stay that way until one day they are almost positive and the next they are positive.
