Yes. At almost 13 months I still shove a boob in her mouth when she's cranky because I know it works like a charm.

No one is a human pacifier - a pacifier is a replacement for you. You are love, caring, nurturing, warmth, food, comfort, soothing, and the whole world to your little one. There would never be a way to compare all of that to a 1 inch piece of plastic. (In my house we call it a fooler, as in it "fools" the baby into thinking it is a nipple.)

Nope because I refuse to let myself be one. She takes a paci and snuggles just fine when she's cranky.
