We finished our flower and veggie planting last wknd! So glad to get it done early (for us) this year.
We did the least amount yet (we've been here 4+ years) and I'm so glad we cut down!

Yep! We planted some hydrangeas a few weeks ago and transplanted some azaleas. I can't wait for my hydrangeas to bloom! It probably won't be this year because they are very small.

Nope! We haven't even started yet truthfully! We have a ton of yard work that needs to get done. We are starting to get our house landscaped nicely, because we plan on trying to sell in a few years!

No, we just put mulch down and now have to plant. Our largest bed is more or less done. We have the smaller beds which need to be done. We bought the flowers last weekend. Need to put them into the ground this week.
I do wonder if we are doing it backwards with the mulch going down first. DH said this is how he has always done it. I have no idea. The mulch does make our yard look a lot better. If we waited til all the plants were in, I'm sure we'll be waiting til mid summer to finally put mulch down.

I still need to plant some squash, and we're finishing up 2 new retaining walls/flower beds in the next few weeks, so we'll have to landscape those (bye bye lots of money!!)

Nope, still to early here. My rule of thumb is Memorial day. But we need to till a new bed and DH threw out his back. So it might be another few weeks.

Yup. We went on a planting bender earlier this Spring to get the house ready to go on the market. We're done. I'm not putting any more work into this house!

This is our first year in our new house, so we're still figuring things out. We have a ton of perennials and have planted a few more, but we'd like to get some annuals in the ground in the next week or two. We also want to build a raised bed for veggies, which might be a project for the long weekend.

Our mulch is down, seeds in the veggie boxes. Still need to do some cleanup on our sidelawn and plant some new bushes and flowers along our house.

Nope! We still have one bed that we need to do. Hard finding ones that we like since we need stuff that grows in the shade cause we have to many trees. We are getting work done on our front yard (leveling out) and sod the first weekend in June. Then we will get a dump truck of mulch and then we will be done!

We are done w/ trees & flowers, but DH still has his grand plans to dig out our little vegetable garden and put in a raised garden bed instead so we'll see if that happens!
