I'm really not this year! Living in WI I'm used to tons of snow by now, and the weather this year is just wacky, as in it's still 45 and it's raining!! I want the snow!!!

@MrsBrewer: I know! No snow here in Iowa either! So weird.
I'm too tired to get into any spirit.

I think I am! This is the first year LO is old enough to enjoy it (18 months) and she is just so sweet, excited, and charming. We were in the ER all day yesterday because she couldn't stop throwing up
but everyone was so nice and helpful and they gave her stuffed animals and loved her so much. She didn't even cry when they took her blood, poor girl.
Anyway, we needed a ride home from the hospital and my uncle came and rescued (it felt like a rescue) us. It was just really nice and my dad had been the emergency contact (and he would have been there stat) but he just passed away, so it was really awesome of his brother to come to the hospital. It just made me feel really good. I think that's what Christmas is about.

it's raining here too
i love a white christmas, not gonna happen this year though. not really feeling very festive, there's a lot of family tension that's kind of hindering my excitement and the weather is so blah, three days of rain! i'm sure i'll enjoy christmas day, just not feelin it yet.

I'm also missing the snow! It's so gloomy and icky out. I love freshly fallen snow, it really brightens things up!
Not feeling the Christmas spirit this year at all. Hopefully my mood improves soon.

Yup, I think so. More than the DH which is weird. He's the one who is all into Christmas. I had to focus on Christmas this year to get me through all the waiting.

I am! No white Christmas, but C is 22 months this year so that's adding a ton of excitement for us. There are a few family things going on that would make me sad but I'm choosing to focus on the positives. Trying to at least.

Not even a little! Maybe it's the postpartum hormones but there's no magic for me this year. Just stress. Hopefully there will be a spark next year when LO is a year old.

Nope. I find so much of Christmas to be a stressful chore. I think I would enjoy it so much more if there were no presents involved, because I love getting together with the fam and eating delicious food. It's the shopping that kills it for me.

@Greentea: Hope your DD feels better soon. I agree Christmas is about seeing or talking to those that mean so much to us, our family and friends.

Yes, it's starting to feel like Christmas with family coming in from out of town! My favorite thing about this season is sending and receiving Christmas cards from others and family get togethers.

@MrsBrewer: I wasn't but I took the day off, cooked up a storm and put up the rest of the Christmas decorations, all while listening to Christmas music. It helped!!
