I asked my friend for some gift suggestions for her daughter and she said anything related to Sofia the First will be a hit. My first reaction was...who the heck is that?
Do you like Disney stuff? I don't love or hate it!

I'm pretty apathetic about it. We don't buy anything licensed for C and wont until she's old enough to choose it herself. We do watch the movies though.

I've never been or had a desire to go, but my daughter loves it.lol I'm planning a cruise for next summer. almost went Disney, but I couldn't do it. We'll do a day of Disney before the cruise.

I despise the Disney store but thats probably because I was only ever in it when I was 11 weeks pregnant and feeling like crap lol. I dont mind the cartoons but DH thinks most of the movies portray animals in a different view than what they are really like.

@swedishfish: haha same!
@Lindsay05: aww what don't you like about it?

DD's been watching songs from Disney movies since she was itty bitty. I play them while I trim her nails and so far, it works for us! Her fave is Belle's song from Beauty and the Beast and the song from Tangled by Mandy Moore and Molly Sandén. We play her both English and Swedish versions.
I've also bought her 2 Disney Animators dolls for when she wants to play tea party, but other than that, nothing else. I'm actually more into Pixar. But I still love Disney, I'm just not into all their products.

Honestly, I've never been a fan & had to google Sofia tue First to even have a clue what you were referring to. Now, should my kids fancy Disney, I will indulge them, to an extent.

My son LOVES Mickey Mouse and May May (Mater and McQueen) from Cars. The first movie he asked for by name was Wall-E and we have been to Disney a ton this year (I had a pass). So we are in for it. I like giving him the shirts because he likes them. Just yesterday he wore a Wreck it Ralph shirt and went around all day telling people it was Walf.
I would much rather he watch Disney shows to Nickelodeon (Spongebob) or Caillou (ugh he wines). I would rather watch Disney shows too. So yeah I guess we are into it.
Though Sofia is not on my watch list.

@Lindsay05: ah, hahah! yeah, it's pretty cheery in there. My mom works for one

I love Disneyland and I love the older movies. I don't buy any licensed character stuff as a rule, only exception would be maybe Sesame Street stuff since that's a learning program.
I can't wait to take LO on a Disney cruise!!!

I love Disney movies but I totally don't get the Disneyland love. Probably because I don't like amusement parks in general.

Nope. I didn't grow up watching a ton of movies or with the stuff. I don't get it!

I like Disney stuff but I haaatte princess stuff. We just had to get our niece a bunch of Sophia the 1st stuff last week for her bday!
I like Monsters INc and all the 1990's movies. The new stuff not so much, maybe because all I've seen is princess crap with niece

With the exception of most of the Pixar movies, I've never been a big fan. Saw the classics as a kid, but I eh. I really dislike the message a lot of the princess stuff sends to girls.

I love Disney! Usually when a movie is by Disney, I automatically assume it's going to be good. Not always the case, but I've found it to be true most of the time (at least the movies I've seen). I get really happy when I see the castle come up before the movie actually begins.
BUT........ I still think the cost of Disneyland is ridiculous and I think it sucks that they make families pay so much. I get that they're a business, but still. SIGH.

I love the classic movies my sister and I still watch them regularly (and I still know allllll the words!!). didn't go to Disneyland til I was 20, so I don't really get that hype. I will probably avoid buying any licensed stuff until lo is old enough to beg for it himself!

I loved Disney movies as a kid and I hope to watch them with my LO when she's a bit older.

I don't know who Sofia the First is either. I did like the movies and songs growing up but didn't have all the gear to go with it, just the songs on tapes.

I loooove Disney! I had a pass to Disneyland during college and went frequently. The best time to go is during the holidays!

@Mrs. High Heels: you can thank the old CEO Michael Eisner for that..he looked into it and realized that they could jack up the price by nearly 50% and only lose 5% of their customer base.. If I remember correctly, the price of admission nearly doubled in only a few years..crazy.

@autumnlove: She does! LOL! I have the theme song in my head now. lol She'll be 2 in September, but she loves Sophia, Dr. McStuffins, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Minnie's Bowtique.

I like Disney World and the movies, but I am not a fan of character merchandise.

I love Sophia! I told my husband I wanted an ice cream cake with Sophia on it for my birthday!

@Mrs. Yoyo: same here. I like Pixar but dislike Disney. I can tolerate a little viewing of the mouse, like on the Road Rally app.
That said, we are going to Disneyland before age three bc I suddenly got bit by the Disney bug. Still won't watch the princess movies. Sofia the First looks interesting...I will have to watch an episode of that before I pass judgment on that one.

We love Disney movies and their characters! However, I'm not girly so I'm not into all the princessy things.
