Some days I think it is a forever home, and other days I'm not sure. It makes me apprehensive to spend a lot of money on things like remodeling (cabinets especially) when the remodel is not a necessity (unlike the new siding we got last summer). Now that we have out daughter, I'm starting to see how small the house is, but perhaps having the use of the outdoors this summer will open the house up a bit.

When we first bought this house (our first house) we thought it could be our forever home. After 3 years of living here it feels small(er) and there are certain things we would change for our next home that we didn't think of as first time home buyers. We have decided that after we have our first child and are thinking about our second we would move for more space.

Nope. We're in a townhome right now (we own), but we are saving up to hopefully move into our "forever" home in the next few years.

It COULD be our forever house, but we will probably upgrade in the next 5-7 years. We currently have a 3br/2bth raised ranch and we really want a two story with a bigger lot. We'll see. Sometimes we think we'll just stay here and invest in a cottage or something like that.

I think so, we intentionally bought a house that should work for a long time and under a variety of circumstances. The way our housing market is it didn't make sense for us to buy a "starter home" and then try and trade up in a few years. I love our house!
