Right now, I have zero interest in DIY home projects. I hope I get some motivation soon!

I would much rather do it myself! Mostly because I'm cheap

I prefer to pay people :T
We just re-did the upstairs bathroom and we paid a painter to come in and paint it. It's just such a pain in the @$$ to do, small space, lots of cutting, and he did such a good job.

We do almost everything ourselves. We've gutted two bathrooms in our current house - I can tile with the best of them (ok, maybe I'm just competent but we got the job done!). I also love to paint - cutting in and all. One thing we don't DIY is snow shoveling - we totally pay a plow guy and it's money well spent!

I prefer to do it myself, but if it's time consuming or a big project then I pay someone else to do it. We hardly get sleep as is so yea...

I'm a big, big, big advocate of hiring professionals on home projects. My dad is a general contractor so that mindset keeps him in business plus I think bad DIY jobs can severely impact the quality/durability of your home as well as ruin it's value. I would much rather pay someone to do it right the first time then have to undo a mistake and potentially fix and even bigger problem. That being said...I don't generally have to hire anybody because my dad does all our work and I pay him in grandbaby kisses, cookies, and homecooked lunches. Also, my husband is a fantastic mechanic so he does all our vehicle stuff himself.

For big stuff, definitely hiring someone. For smaller more "manageable" projects, do it ourselves.

It depends! I haven't owned a home yet but have contacts in most areas so we wouldn't really have to hire anyone.

Depends what it is, I like some DIY but bigger stuff I prefer to pay someone. Thankfully we don't own yet because I KNOW that DH would protest paying anyone for something we can do. He thinks he can do all this stuff and he really can't

We DIY. I don't always like it but I like the end result and saving money!

We do what we can on our own. My husband takes a lot of pride in DIY projects. It does take us a long time particularly since LO came around.
He is a mechanic so he does all of our car maintenance as well.

We outsource. Everything. My husband works like 80 hrs a week and he's much more handy than me. Though, my mom does a lot of fixit stuff for us - she is SUPER handy.

Pay someone. We're not at all handy. Sometimes I try and it's usually disastrous.

Let's just put it this way.... I almost always end up spending more money trying to DIY anything! Professionals already have all the stuff they need and often get discounts, whereas I always end up having to buy a ton of stuff. House projects in particular are tough! I couldn't even stand the work ton finish painting one bathroom myself before I called it quits! Lol! DH has even less inclination to DIY anything! He's always telling me to just hire someone.

We DIY pretty much everything. DH is super handy and whenever he needs help we can call on friends or families. It has truly saved us an incredible amount of money.

We DIY as much as we can. DH is pretty handy, and my Dad really is. So it helps save us money for sure.

If it's a big job and we can afford it, I'd rather hire someone. Otherwise I'll do it myself.

Depends what it is. Most stuff we pay to have done because then its done right
