Just how I wanted to end my work week. One lady says "Doesn't she look so cute with her little bump?", other co-worker responds, "You better have them check again. Are you sure there aren't two in there? You're huge to be just starting out!"
I just smiled and said "I'm actually almost half-way done." Nice co-worker says, "Really?" And I say "Yes, I'll be 20 weeks next week." Rude co-worker just changes the subject.

I think people have something to say like this regardless of how many you're having! I was pregnant with twins and I would get comments like, make sure there isn't a third hiding! Gee, thanks, that hadn't occurred to me AT ALL.

I bet I received that comment 10 times so far. It sucks and very rude. If my uterus and vagina could throat punch them Im sure they would. I am sure you look great

@jhd: My one co worker used to say that all the time (he knew it bugged me). I told him he was an asshole to his face and that he wasn't funny. Everybody laughed at him and he never said anything again!

Ugh I had theses comments. I gained my weight in the second trimester but that's no excuse for people to comment. I just smiled and kept my mouth shut... while silently calling them bad names in my head lol

I heard comments like this ALL of the time when I was pregnant with my 1st. I wish I could go back to each and every single person and tell them - yes, I was huge. But guess what, I had a huge baby! Oh well, I just got used to it after a while.

Thanks, everyone. I have had plenty of students make comments the last week or so but I expect that. They are teenagers. I don't expect it from the grandmother and mother of two! Oh well!

@jhd: One of my students (16 years old!) told me today that she's seen a lot of pregnant women in her life so I'm definitely having a girl. Oh ok, kid.
The kids are funny though. It's the coworkers who make me stabby. Your encounter would definitely annoy me.

I hated this question! Along with 'you must not have long to go now' and the raised eyebrow 'really' when I told them how long. I am short people, with a short torso! Yeah the belly is big. The baby however, was not, so they can all suck it
