most of my colleagues are older. I'm the youngest on my team and throughout our vertical as well... I feel good that I've been successful, but it's also hard to gain the respect that some of the older, seasoned colleagues have around these parts!

not really. on the sales team there is 11 of us. three are females and we are between the ages of 25 (me) and 32. The rest are men over 30.. most of them in their 50s!
ETA: the girl that is 32 is TTC, the girl that is 28 is preg and I just found out I'm preg.. so I will laugh a lot if we all take our year mat leave around the same time. My boss will flip!

My only female coworkers is about 5 years older than me. She is adamant she doesn't want kids. But kind of defensive about it.... So I just wonder.... But I do like having her in the office most of the time

One is 6 years younger than me, the other is older by at least 20-25 years. I feel light years away from both of them in terms of personality, interests, priorities, etc.
That's just in my office, I have more co-workers in our department, the university at large, etc. Good mix of ages.

I'm the youngest (will be 26 on Sunday). But the oldest is 34...so we are all around the same age/life cycle events.

They're a mixed bag. We have a few guys in their 20's but most of them are 35+. I'm 35+ so, yeah, we're all about the same age.

My colleagues range from age 26 to 60s but the majority of us are in our 30s and we're all a fun bunch.

At first I was the youngest for a few years, but a few have joined on who are about my age (I'm 26) so it's kind of nice! Although I am the only one who is married and currently having kids. All others are dating or married with older kids already.
They are all excited to plan my baby shower, though! Which is nice

It's a really good mix! I have two girls who have cubicles next to me who are about my age, but also next to me are three women closer to my mom's age. There is this one lady who is in her 60's and she is just a sweetheart - I love her so much! Sometimes we take breaks together and just talk. She has so much joy and love in her life!!
I think it's a great mix to have women of all ages and experiences.

I am the only woman my age at my laboratory. We had some staff turnover this spring and it's funny - the whole lab is 20-something guys and all the management are over 50 women.
Then there's me!

Not really, I'm the second youngest person in the organization. There are a small group of people in my age group but I'm their boss.

Previous job - yes, but I was always the youngest still.
Now - I'm the youngest by at least 10+ years. I miss working with co-workers that are around my age.

In my last department we were mostly in our late 20s/early30s but at my new job I'm the youngest by a decade.

Most are younger. In their mid 20s seems average. But there are a few older teachers.

We have a pocket of folks that have been historically younger than the rest of the team, only because that was the entry point into the group.
I am in the middle of the pack, I'd say. Age here doesn't mean much in terms of respect, I'd say though, it's more about how long you've been in the department. I am one of the last standing...I joined this group in 1999 and have had several roles, lol.

I have 3 employees that do the same job as me, 2 of them are wthin 3 years of age, and are pretty much on the same cycle. The 3rd is in her 40s I would guess.

we have a good range as there are various levels on our team. there are a handful of juniors who report to me and another manager, and we have two more levels above us and then the executive of our division. the team is pretty lean though given all the tiers, and everyone works pretty closely. however, my company is extremely political so it's always a case of "know your role" which can be annoying at times.
